* Joe Strummer. It might even be about David Bowie. We'll never know. Hilarious.

"Excellente! An argument about art! Bomb incoming... I just listened to. Morrissey: ""The National Front Disco."" Great vocals, great guitars, great production by Mick Ronson ( who thought Morrissey ""a cսnt"", btw.) Is this song racist? Satire? Or about Joe Drummer's nazi obsessed dead brother? England for the English. Ireland for the Irish."

"geoffpikey 12:33 Fri Oct 9 Nice album that but doesn't top 1972 for me. Nor, more arguably, Under Cold Blue Stars either. He shouldn't have moved to Spain though...."

"Trying not to be too nerdy here, but Marr wasn't so involved in Raise The Pressure. He'd just become a dad and had the Smiths courtcase in his head... he knew Raise The Pressure wasn't great. Johnny told me that. They asked Karl Bartos ((Kraftwerk) to produce / add ideas. Mentally, they they found out Bartos was obsessed by the Kinks and 60s ""beat pop""... It was all a mistake, by all. Decks cleared, Twisted Tenderness is more Marr than Sumner. But still a good partnership. And it's brilliant."

"geoffpikey 3:42 Agree with all of that fella, and SDM is the standout on that album, although I would say Raise The Pressure was pretty gash in comparison imo. The Gutter Twins - Saturnalia"

"High 5 to Mary. Electronic was a great thing. Dipped a bit on Raise The Pressure (wrong title alert) but Electronic to Twisted Tenderness... generally gold. I wish they would work together again. ""Some Distant Memory"" is sublime. Like Technique got fixed by Johnny Marr. Wizard. (And, yes, for once I am not joking.)"

yngwies Cat 11:25 Thu Oct 8 I know I know. In God we trust. Great riffs and that is a top power metal tune. I'm not sure they dress up as wasps these days and chick bibles into the crowd..
