"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"

Takashi Miike 11:48 Tue Feb 14 Areola was apparently out with a hamstring injury and back training now. That means we can look forward to 3 subs on the BENCH at the weekend.

"Apparently Noble has been away scouting in France. As Director of Football, he's presumably got his own shopping list otherwise he'd only be paid to be doing Moyes's bidding as a scout. So what we have here is practically an admission that Moyes is no longer really running the first team in terms of strategy and transfer policy. He's practically a bust flush collecting on pay day with the power to select an XI on match day and make substitutions. What could possibly go wrong?"

"Ashton, unlike others, has been absolutely consistent about Moyes in not wanting him nigh nor by our club ever. Heavily critical from the start Ashton then went relatively quiet during the last two seasons but now he is back with a bang relishing the situation we are in and the way we are performing."

"the two sub keepers is bizarre on its own, but not having arguably the best goalkeeper in the bench for the last two league games is beyond comprehension. has the dwarf cսnt got another player with appearance clauses in his contract? why else would areola be nowhere near the league game plans?"

"Not only 2 keepers on the BENCH, but we had 1 less sub on Saturday also. Ignoring the youths isn't very RED BULL, is it?"

"You're right on most things Sir Alf but I would add that our formation is a defensive one whether we play 3 or 4 at the back. I like 3 at the back but not the way Moyes plays it. 3-5-2 is the original idea when 4-4-2 was the universal standard formation. 3-5-2 was an attacking formation allowing an extra midfielder to dominate the play. Moyes has turned it into 5-2-2-1 that slowly morphs into 3-4-3 for attacks. But no creative midfielders. Just 7 defenders, 1 winger, 1 wide forward and 1 CF. For many games I'd chose just Rice alone as the defensive midfield. Most teams that we play have only 1 striker so we don't need 3 CBs and 2 DMs? It makes us hard to beat but sacrifices our ability to attack which is why we end up with 28% possession stats. I see our team desperate to play to their potential but held back by our dinosaur manager obsessed with defending our way to snatch occasional wins from set pieces or surprise attacks which is why we are fighting relegation..."

"Spot on Alf. Moyes is just too defensive and afraid to show an ounce of attacking intent. It's taken him half a season to drop Cresswell, and maybe will take another half a season to drop Soucek. Downes as the defensive midfielder behind Rice and Paqueta would make a huge impact, even if he insists we still only play 1 striker. I'd love to see him have the balls to play Antonio left with Ings and Scammacca as a front 2"

"Ashtons correct but a tad late to be highlighting it. Nonetheless he's the first pundit to have the honesty and not be beholden to Moyes simply because he's the last of his breed. He was a good fit for a season and a half. Should have been changed early this season when after a large spend on players, he didn't play them, played them out if position and presided over a losing streak that got us in the bottom 3,and relegation form from this time last year. Sullivan , everyone just needed to look at the data which was showing an alarming decline. He is and we all worried this would be the case, the proverbial one trick pony. He has no experience of playing any other way and this is allied to huge insecurities and inadequacies in reality which manifests itself in his aggressive reaction when questioned and pointing to the past achievements which are now irrelevant. He is a coward tactically. No risk, no reward. He won't try anything different unless forced or 20 games too late. Good job there was a WC to see that Paqueta was not a number 10!! Try Downes as the deep lying central midfielder and unshackle Rice to link defence and attack by using his ability to carry the ball. It also covers./ allows Paqueta to get forward more at times and link up play. Rice and Paqueta can rotate in the moves forward like other teams midfields. Moyes plays the same 2 low block pivot and so deep it isolates the forwards. Try Antonio, Ings or Scamacca in a 2 up front. Try Antonio wide right, switch Bowen to wide left in games or move him central at times. Teams hate that when forwards move around. And it's of like these players are being effective because every team knows what they do and where. Try Fornals in his proper position as a number 10. Moyes is the epitome of old style rigid tactics, entrenched in the past and digging in deeper each week they dont work. Sullivan and owners clueless and blind although now it seems somewhat reckless with spending. Investing in a loser that they have yet to recognise is yesterdays man, inflexible, arrogant and ignorant in equal measure."

Fuck off Two. You have zero opinion on current matters. Staggering how you can come on here and comment. You can come back when we beat Rotherham 1-0 next year...thanks for supporting Moyes

Dean Ashton says defensive David Moyes has been completely found out at West Ham because his tactics are too predictable

"Yeah, it would have cost us £7m in January. It likely would have been money well spent, considering we wasted £12m on Ings."
