Re: Moyes Out
Forest are now 5 points ahead of us after 21 matches...this with a squad of 25+ new players plus all the ones that went out. I think Moyes has underperformed to an almost negligent level... considering the squad hasn't looked fit all season. Everything feels very undercooked - in fact just how it was before he arrived for the second time.
Re: Moyes Out
"Moyes has made lots of mistakes on transfers; team selections; negative tactics; poor substitutions; playing players out of position and not giving youngsters a chance. Apart from Rice and Johnson of course. However he hasn't changed his negative defensive approach from the previous two seasons where we got into Europe and finished 6th & 7th. For me the difference was that we didn't carry 2 or 3 players off form every game in the better seasons. It was Moyes loyalty to out of form players that has done for him. We seem to be getting back on track without Fornals, Cresswell and Soucek being automatic starters every week. I'd suggest it's this that changed Moyes into a regular loser and not his negativity. You purists surely know that keeping the whole team behind the ball still works better than the attacking football most of you are wanting to use as justification for wanting him sacked! Especially when the next manager our board select will probably be worse""¶"

"So nobody's allowed to comment unless they agree with your opinion? That sums you up. I don't think you've got the hand of this ""conversation"" concept have you? cսnt."

Re: Moyes Out
"Can I suggest those in favour of Moyes to stay, to fuck off to the Moyes in thread instead of constantly posting verbal abuse towards this who thinks opposite?"
Re: Moyes Out
"Manuel - Yeah he always retreats, I can remember a spell where we were three up a few times drew one and hanging on in two others for 3-2 wins. He's always safety first.. Even at two up against Everton it felt like that."

Re: Moyes Out
"fraser 4:51 Sun Feb 5 ''Unless we're losing we're always on the back foot at the end of games'' Always? Do you mean this season rather than since he arrived? Just you surely don't finish 6th and 7th with that type of tactic? Not defending him, but because we're in a dogfight he's probably paranoid about losing, had we been comfortable in the league I don't doubt we would have gone for it more yesterday."
Re: Moyes Out
"Unless we're losing we're always on the back foot at the end of games.. We always retreat, so yes if Wilson had scored and we had lost, it would have been deservedly so, as was letting Leeds equalise. It just the way Moyes is."
Re: Moyes Out
"Found the subs odd yesterday but Moyes is a bit odd when it comes to most things. We were dropping deeper thus our only outlet would have been a counter attack from deep, thus requiring pace to pull it off. Moyes however in his wisdom brings on Soucek and Fornals, arguably two of the slowest players in the squad. Even bringing on Ings for Antonio was a slower striker for a quicker striker although Antonio did look knackered as per usual."

Re: Moyes Out
"Sir Alf Good assessment of Moyse's issues and what should be done. I read an article in the Athletic about Klopp and substitutes and how recently he has made things worse with his changes. It also had a table showing the amount of substitutes used by each manager, Moyse was bottom of the list having used the least."

Anyone have aplausible explanation why this cսnt still picks 2 reserve keepers for the bench?

"Not a stupid comment at all. Stupid tactics more like. When you wave the white flag and give up all atracking threat mid way through the second half, you are inviting pressure and deserve to lose. Aguerd saved Moyes' bacon yesterday."

Re: Moyes Out
"I just wish he had more bollocks to have a go at teams. 2nd half we looked decent and could have taken the game more to them. All well and good settling for a point at Newcastle and its a well deserved, but it would be the same tactics if that game was against Bournemouth or Southampton at home, he would have done exactly the same. We need wins and shutting up shop in certain games won't get us enough points."

Re: Moyes Out
"Crassus 12:32 Sun Feb 5 Agree 100%. Dinosaur, negative, turgid tactics in the second half from the dour, dinosaur, loser, jock twat. But for a fantastic last gasp tackle by Aguerd we would have deservedly lost 2-1 after putting up the white flag and giving up on any attacking intent in the second half. Moyes is a cսnt."

Re: Moyes Out
"joyo 6:31 Sun Feb 5 How low are your expectations? Wins against a shit everton side, a league 1 derby and a draw against Newcastle Fuck me no wonder you're happy and Moyes in with that pathetic outlook. Not like the club spent £200m odd in summer and Jan - that should be a given with our squad."
Re: Moyes Out
"I don't like Moyes, granted, but he got lucky yesterday, fucking lucky with his abject last 30 tactics/substitutions Absolutely dreadful respect the point nonsense and poorly executed at that We saw glimpses yesterday of what those players can do if harnessed/deployed correctly and then proof positive why Moyes should have gone a year ago"

Re: Moyes Out
"For Moyes to constantly repeat he has the last say on all transfer activity and then take 6 months or more to work out the natural position for those players speaks volumes in my mind...anyone with a bit of flair and skill he thinks ""I'll stick you out of position because you're good enough to adapt"" Nope - just put player's where you get the best out of them. We are not Man.City where the average cost of each squad player is a minimum £50 Million quid. Knob"
Re: Moyes Out
"Although the point yesterday was very welcome and, for me, unexpected, it's imo more in spite of Moyes and Nevin and not because of him. Things improved largely because of Aguerd at the back, him finally dropping Cresswell and using a formation ( 3 CBs ) that better suits the players available. But he's almost been forced into this 10 games late. I think he had it in his mind to keep playing his old faithfuls and system and slowly introduce new players and formations but could not and still struggles to see that his previously successful approach and player selections was failing. He's still got a huge blind spot with Soucek who imo should be sold. Came on yesterday with Fornals and it made things worse. Fornals out wide also. Doesn't work, he's not quick enough to play wide. He has recognised that Paqueta is not a 10 via the WC so he's catching up with everyone on that. He knows Cresswell is now a reserve at best. Again obvious to many fans a long while back. Just now needs to realise : Areola needs to come in for Fab who cannot use his feet and is too old and immobile ( I realise Areola not fit yesterday but think he would still have opted for Fab ) Soucek like Cresswell is not first team level. Downes is ahead of him. But we heard his comments about Lescott , Cahill and Baines having to wait 6 months when brought to Everton 20 years ago. That's his reasoning. Nothing to do with how Downes performs. Bring Downes on alongside Rice and Paqueta if we are being overrun in midfield or just to keep the ball better start all 3 !! Fornals should never play wide. He's a number 10. Antonio is a wide right player and should mostly be used there. We still need pace and especially now up front. Benny and Bowen need to withdrawn a lot quicker when not effective like yesterday. Make subs earlier. Make tactical adjustments earlier. I think Bowen should be moved centrally some games she. He struggles to make an impact. In short, do be fooled. Moyes has to be replaced although I realise we are stuck with him for this season"

Re: Moyes Out
"It was classic Moyes hang on for the point yesterday. The last 20 minutes just saw defensive subs, us drop deeper, hoof the ball away erratically and give Newcastle the initiative. I don't think Newcastle were that good. They gave us lots of space when we got in their half but poor decisions or lack of quality meant we made little from it. When the opposition is not playing well then why show them that respect and accept a point? Is it because our bench was poor and unbalanced? Whose fault is that?"
Re: Moyes Out
"Moyes admitting he didn't know where his most expensive signing from the summer (maybe ever?) played, after all those games as a manager, says a lot."

Re: Moyes Out
Moyes must be the only manager of 1000+ games top flight experience who sets up so narrow and rigid and his players still don't have much of a clue what their actual defined role is in the team. It's all a bit random and up in the air...Aguerd is making the difference in defence but apart from that we haven't improved that much from what has been the norm.
