"The scariest thing about Saturday was the subs for me. Not that they would normally be terrible for a manager to make defensive subs. But more about the man that was making those changes and what that means in this context. It feels like Moyes still believes that defence is always better than attack, even when you're 2-0 up and the team you're playing against is shit. I'm not convinced he has learnt much from this year of bad results. I feel like he thinks it's just individual form or missing key players through injury. It's not. It's his attitude and style of football that is the problem. If you are 2-0 up you should put on another attacker and really give them something to think about. Not put on 3 defenders! It's not Man City you're playing and you're stealing a sneaky win. Newcastle will be the game that defines if this guy can learn or not. He will try to keep it tight and be happy with a draw. But they will nick 1 or 2 near the end because they will be always on the offensive with us. And Moyes will say we were just unlucky blah blah.. We will probably stay up but not due to Moyes' tactics that's for sure."

"This is the most dejected I've ever felt about West Ham. It's mainly due to having been on the cusp of doing something great and breaking the next level. In true WHU style we have pissed it all away spending the most amount of money we've ever been fortunate to have. Whilst playing the very worst brand of football possible. On top of that we will lose Rice in the summer and the back bone of our brief 2 season success, with little to no faith of rebuilding to get back to that level. Certainly not under our current boring loser."

"Everton Bournemouth Fulham Wolves Villa Norwich Everton Villa Wolves Watford Norwich Palace Watford Moyes can beat this caliber of opposition with his brand of footy. He can occasionally have a good season where we'll scrap a few wins or more against the mid table teams like Brentford and Palace. That'll end up looking like a decent season. But we'll all be watching boring, passive, turgid low risk, low entertainment football."

"Winning saturday was actually the last thing we needed, strange to say, but it means he stays. Also, and i understand how nice it was to win a game, but despite looking much better defensively, we were poor and as one dimensional as ever. Like others have said, it's going to be a fucking awful second half of the season to endure with us hoping others are worse than us rather than looking up."

"One thing I've not really thought about, is by keeping him, ironically we are ruining our best chance of silverware for 43 years. A new manager would give us a real chance of winning the ECL, no chance under Moyes now as we can't gamble playing first team players whilst we're in this relegation battle."

"I detest Moyes and his brand of football, so much so that I'm losing interest in my club and that saddens me immensely. ______________ i feel the same- its not just losing, we've all had plenty of that - ive barely enjoyed more than ten minutes of football all season...just dire, nil sum, least risk (sometimes )wins, negative bonecrushingly boring and predicatble football.."

"By any measurement, we are NOT mid-table! If only, given the shite that has been served up this season. But I do take some of the points he was making. We're in a state - but things have been worse for us. Still think we have to move on from Moyes. Beating an appalling Everton side is not a job-saver for my liking."

"Whilst 22 point should be the aim, the real aim is just to now gain as many points as the 4 teams below us manage. Low ambition and a disaster after 180m quid."

So in 57 years of supporting West Ham this is the most fed up you've been? Really? I've supported the club for 48 years and I could name 100 times I've been more fed up. Still in 2 cups and mid table. I doubt you've supported us for 57 years.

"southbankbornnbred 10:45 Mon Jan 23 I'm West Ham and want us to win every game too fella but this morning I feel totally demoralised. Moyes is here to stay now, and for me that means the most depressing dire shit type of football we've ever played until the c*** decides to quit - which won't happen. I think he's got his eyes on a position upstairs at the club, heading up 'a fkn project' with some mug dancing to his tune on the training pitch. In 57 yrs of supporting this club, and fuck we've seen some bad times during that period, I've never been so fed up with the direction our club is taking. I detest Moyes and his brand of football, so much so that I'm losing interest in my club and that saddens me immensely. Just fuck off Moyes."

"Sir Alf ~ Fully agree with regards to the Rice comment It's been blatently obvious that when Downes plays alongside Rice, he can cover the defensive midfield position more than adequately, allowing Rice to rampage forward when the opportunity arises Downes tackling and accurate passing is the perfect compliment to Rice yet Moyes doesn't seem to notice it!"

"H&P - 70% of the fanbase should send in their CVs as everyone is seeing the same thing and has been for a while :-) But Moyes and Nevin won't change anything more now they got 3 points. Soucek will be shoed back in asap probably too. Downes will continue to get very few minutes and, as per his 10 mins on Saturday, played in a more advanced midfield which is unsuited to him. They obviously think Rice must only play as the deepest, defensive central midfielder despite him being able to carry the ball and create space and potential chances for others. Need him gone but personally I'm resigned to him remaining this season now and so just hope he can oversee us getting another 22 points? Tall order IMO but hope he proves me wrong"
