"""Even if we go down we can still go back up pretty quickly. The value of the club is down to its location and historical value. Not sure being down for 1 season will change that too much."" A MASSIVE ASSUMPTION We'd oy be down for one season given how strong and competitive tye Championship is. I wouldn't fancy us to immediately return under our owners and manager"

"It's no secret - been made public: Kretinsky has a fixed-price option to buy the club. Fixed price. Option. If we're relegated Kretinsky may decide the fixed price is too high for a Championship club. He's not compelled to buy us, but he's in the driving seat. Could get ugly though: the potential loss of the massive Sky TV Prem money would complicate things."

"Couple of things, whoever is buying the club from Sullivan may have made a deal to buy it at a fixed price regardless of what division we are in. Even if we go down we can still go back up pretty quickly. The value of the club is down to its location and historical value. Not sure being down for 1 season will change that too much. Secondly, I just think Sullivan likes Moyes as a person. I just think thats all it is. I think the fact he was sacked but didnt cuss him out, took the job again and done well but never spoke bad of the owners is the key. Not every manager they hire is going to say nothing bad about the owners. Rafa famously has attacked the owners. People like Rodgers and Poch dont say anything. I'm starting to think that Moyes stays regardless. If he was to be sacked he'd have gone a while ago as his record Is terrible at present. Also, would the club let him do that interview? It doesn't look like he's getting the sack to be honest.."

"Willtell I think your right- I don't think Moyes is going anywhere win, lose or draw on Sat. £7m to get rid of Moyes to then have to bring in Dyche or Benetiz - it's like replacing a banger with another banger. Interesting interview from Jermaine Penant, slagging Rafa as the worst man manager imaginable. There is another article by John Barnes saying he thinks Ange Postecoglou should be given a go and believes he would do a really good job. I honestly think they will stick with Moyes - I don't think there is any desire whatsoever for change."

"According to C&H Dyche is not in the frame because Moyes is hopefully going to turn it around according to their sources""¶"

"I think here is a flip side to the coin, how would managers like Pep and Klopp get on at a lower Club with less money? Pep's managed Barcelona, Bayern and City, rich pickings players wise and Klopp whilst starting out at Mainz with a record of 109 wins, 78 draws and 83 losses has only managed Dortmund and Liverpool."

"I'd rather keep Moyes than have Dyche or Benitez They're so fucking predictable literally every single person on this entire board could of named the two managers they'd actually go after""¶..it's so fucking embarrassing"

Are we still saying if we beat Everton Moyes stays ? We''ll never hit the heights of 6th or 7th. No way will he take ECL seriously if we are in the bottom 6 or 7. just leave now FFS

"We aren't in the luxury of having someone come in and them having time to settle in. We need a manager who knows the league, knows the players we have and knows how to get a tune out of them quickly. Exactly what Moyes did when he kept us up twice. It's a sad state of affairs that it's happened this way with Moyes as he has got some success with the team and gave us some good memories but there is no room for sentiment in football and if it doesn't work it has to change. Too much is at stake to sleep walk to a relegation and hope he can turn it around. If you go half way through a season and are playing shit, not scoring, have no fucking idea etc etc it's time to change, and that's what we need. Dyche knows the league, would know the players and is an experienced head to turn it around. If we got rid of him before the world cup then Dyche wouldn't be on the list and the calibre of manager would have been higher"

McCarthy gone to Blackpool. Sullivan crosses him off his shortlist.

"In my opinion Dyche would be a backward step. He did a good job at Burnley with limited resources until, of course, he no longer did a good job at Burnley. I really cannot see what Dyche achieved that would even put him in our cross-hairs. He is so far away from what we now need that it beggars belief. Having said that - Moyes is so fucking rancid right now that I would take Dyche just to get Moyes out the door because that bloke is like a fucking cancer. Everything he touches gets infected with his toxic poison. I haven't seen a reputable link to Dyche yet but if he does replace Moyes I will be glad in some respects but then on the other hand pissed off because of the mess we are in to even recruit Dyche."

"goose 6:00 Thu Jan 19 ""Has there actually been a reputable link to Dyche anywhere?"" You'd hope Sullivan learnt his lesson with Martin O'Neill and is keeping his trap shut this time."

"Dunno. I'm referring more to the fans' references. I wouldn't criticise any West Ham fan - we're all in this shit together - but it says so much about how we've generally been served banality and warm diarrhoea for so long that we're all (me included) debating between a set of largely busted flushes like Moyes, Benitez, Dyche and Allardyce."

"15th biggest club in the world - now bigger than AC Milan, Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina, Ajax, Benfica, Porto, Shalke, Werder, Marseille etc - and we're going on about Sean Dyche as manager. I get it. Nothing against Dyche, who did a great job at Burnley and shouldn't have been sacked. And we're in a hole. But we are so delightfully fucking ""two bob"" culturally that it defies belief!"

"Dyche won at Anfield - Liverpool's first home defeat in months at the time - and at the Emirates and got plenty of draws against the other ""òBig Six'. Don't think he'd settle for a pat on the head and a nice glass of claret for taking part and gifting the points like someone close at hand. Shit football, though, to be fair."

Burnley played the most dire football under Dyche What a shocking state the club is in under this board

"I have to wonder how some of the squad will react to Dyche if he IS appointed. How are Paqueta and Scamacca going to react to him, and will he get Rice's full support?"

"I thin most of you are missing the point of Dyche IF,still a big if, he is coming in it will effectively be until the end of the season with a hefty wedge if we stay up He'll you or I could do a better than the walking dead Moyes, so why not Dyche ? He will get the players working harder that's for sure Most of our lot are underperforming woefully currently, Moyes has no influence whatsoever on them so we need a change"
