"We all know Moyes expects no points from games against the top 6 clubs, and if you're in a relegation fight then it's fair to focus on the teams around you as those matches will have greater significance at the end of the season. Looking at the results vs teams currently 12th-20th we're not doing well at all: W2 D2 L4. Those two wins and two of the losses were home games, so given our woeful away record in the last year (9 points from the last 18 away games) we can probably expect worse results in the return fixtures, which would almost certainly see us relegated."

1 point from possible 18 shows we will struggle to get anywhere near 40.

matched with a half of a season where we were so uncompetitive that we accidentally qualified for europe off of it.

"Yep, Moyes just did as we all expected tonight. Nothing is going to change and it's just a case of when not if he gets the ""Tin Tack""ù. Now Bielsa is ruled out, who could we get? There has to be someone ? Can we not get someone to look at Brighton or Brentford's list of candidates they probably keep at all times?"

"This really is death by a thousand cuts. Moyes, limping on. I mean what do they really think is going to happen even if Moyes does limp us past 40 points which feels unlikely. The man is a dinosaur and has been found out. His on to a C team in terms of support staff with the loss of Irvine and Pearce. Imagine being a player in our squad with Moyes turning up still day after day, spouting the same old tired and outdated shit. It's time for a change and as usual where managers are concerned, Sullivan is asleep at the wheel. They claim it's loyalty, but the reality is it's penny pinching. Sullivan doesn't 'rate' managers in general...why he'll never pay for one and will only ever take those already out of work. They're desperate for Moyes to turn it around to save the cost of binning him and his mob off. It's not loyalty."

Any board doing it's duty would have fired Moyes weeks ago. He should have been binned off before the world cup. The longer he is kept in post the more likely relegation becomes. Six games without a win and counting now. I despair with Sullivan. He may be an astute businessman but he is a useless football club owner when it comes to making key decisions.

I'd be stunned if they sacked him especially after a draw He's completely lost the plot though that starting line up and the subs were as bad as you're ever likely to see

Yup that draw will win him some more time. Time which will ultimately be wasted.

that draw will probably take us down. why? because the cսnt will now probably get at least another three games

Think he is gone. Bad result tonight. Should have won that. 1 point since return is way below the target.

"Please please please Sullivan see that for what it was - terrible game management, awful subs, dropping deeper, only scoring through a Pen and a mistake and hanging on at the end. Put him and us fans out of our misery - sack the fucking cսnt."

As the inevitable sacking draws closer I can't help worrying who we'll end up with. Looking at the awful managerial appointments that Sullivan has made so far is bad enough but when you see that Kretinsky has hired and fired about 15 managers in 18 years at Sparta Prague it's pretty obvious that neither of them has got a clue. Shame they didn't hire a proper director of football to make these decisions.

I refuse to believe that some people are that big fans of Moyes. Maybe his wife and kids but it's not like the geezer captain charisma

Apologies if already done. Some people have suggested on here that the departure of Stuart Pearce has contributed to our downfall this season. Well listening to him on Talk Sport a couple of days ago was quite revealing . He stated that when he was at the club he told the players to forget about the the top six clubs as any point against those teams were a bonus. He went on to say beat the teams around us and we will be fine.which we largely managed to do for 2 seasons. He also stated the obvious that the goals had dried through out the whole of the team.!

"It's well known that it was Gold more than Sullivan who pushed for Avram Grant to stay after Martin O'Neill bowed out. Perhaps he's been the same with Moyes. Probable that Kretinsky has been calling for his head for a while, given his record of sacking managers at Sparta Prague. As others have said though, seems unlikely now that he'll be sacked in the next few days, whatever the results."

I guess Sullivan and Kretinsky have enough to out vote Gold's inheritor
