Re: January Transfer Window
"I've a feeling we will shift a few players out and hopefully be in the market for a striker, RB and a CB. Then I think that with Antonio back as a left winger or back up striker, we'll have quite a squad to select from. The downside is that if Moyes does well in the second half of the season, we'll be stuck with him for years to come......"
Re: January Transfer Window
"I’m not so sure I agree that we can’t defend for toffee, I actually think our defending is very resilient considering we set up most games to play a 90 min defence against attack drill with the opposition having 65-70% of the ball. Ultimately though with our style of play with the low press in most games inviting pressure it’s inevitable that we will concede goals in most games. It’s the tactics which need to change to relieve the pressure not the personnel on the pitch."

"I'm looking at it like anything is a bonus, never really expect much in January, don't think most fans do tbf. No chance we will spend big on a first teamer, best case someone will come in who can 'compete'. Rumour of some kind of swap deal with Soton, Walker -Peters/Ings."

Re: January Transfer Window
"It almost defies belief that Moyes has spent ¬£100mil on centre backs, we mostly play boring cսnt defensive football, and we can't fucking defend for toffee. Madness."
Re: January Transfer Window
"I just can't see Moyes wanting a centre forward and a left sided player... If we signed starters that would leave no place for Soucek or JWP... There's nobody else to drop out... We also desperately need back up to Alvarez. I wouldn't be shocked to see us do no business, maybe a loan but nothing else. We have form for this in January. Two years ago we needed cover/competition for Antonio and Moyes kept bigging him up. He's now doing the same with Bowen. Expect to see Antonio back up front during AFCON.. I hope I'm wrong.."

Re: January Transfer Window
"For me in order of priority: 1/ Striker 2/ Pacey left winger (right footed as Moyes seems to prefer playing left tied on the right and righties on the left) 2/ CH - not convinced with Aguerd, Zouma is always and injury concern, Oggy is getting on and Moyes hasn’t given Dino much of a chance I don’t think there is a huge amount of money with the tighter ffp for being in European competition…or is that just more bullshit being pedalled?"
Re: January Transfer Window
You can understand the pessimism. I think both Moyes and Sullivan are on record as saying you don't get good enough value in the January window. Last January we were struggling in the bottom 3 and all we bought was Danny fucking Ings. Barring a complete disaster we're unlikely to be relegated this year so you could imagine Sullivan wanting to save the war chest for a new manager in the summer.

Re: January Transfer Window
"Hopefully, a full back or two, and a striker. After the last window, I would sit back and trust the ones responsible. I certainly couldn’t criticise the players we brought in over the summer."
Re: January Transfer Window
"Why the skepticism for January, we brought it some nice players last time around. Prowse, Paqueta, Alvarez and Kudus. I know January is a tough window but stop with all the pessimism ffs you negative cunts!"
Re: January Transfer Window
"Talk that Eric Dier at the spuds could be available, just the sort of player Moyes would go for, old, slow and cannot get into his current team’s first eleven."
Re: January Transfer Window
I don't think many people would object to seeing Ings moved on but given he's on 100 + grand week he will probably sit tight.

I pray that we offload the tub of lard that is Ings. He'd struggle to get into a pub team.

"If a striker is not brought in then it’s a complete dereliction of duty, even a blind man can see where our biggest problem lies. ( Does Moyes have a white stick)"

Re: January Transfer Window
Cover for Alvarez should be near the top of the list . And obviously a striker but have a feeling he's going to stick with Bowen up top . I suspect we will bring in a left winger ideally one with pace .
Re: January Transfer Window
"I would be happy to see any of the following go: Fornals Kehrer Cornet Benrahma Ings Johnson Coventry Cresswell For me there's an element of letting them go for their own sakes rather than the club's. It hasn't worked for them at West Ham for various reasons and they deserve an opportunity to resurrect their careers elsewhere. Realistically, we're not going to lose more than two or at the most three of them in January, but we need that to happen in order to help with the finances for incomings. Priorities for incomings must be above all a striker, plus a left-sided forward and full-backs. Guirassy looks ideal and if he's got any sense he'll realise that he is more likely to get regular football with us than with Man Utd or Spurs. Worth also mentioning that there are a few members of the outstanding U21s that should be promoted to the fringes of the 1st team squad, depending on who leaves."
Re: January Transfer Window
Brentford pulled our pants down £30m? Kudus the real deal was about the same fee with inflation. Benny is worth about 20% of that. He has had a long run in the team and never delivered. Flatters to deceive with no end product. Just get rid to save on his wages and free up space for someone.

Re: January Transfer Window
"I like the Walker-Peters for Johnson,Ings and Downes story he will improve us at full back and can play left and right and we should go for that Leif Davis at Ipswich Striker is a difficult one but would take a punt on Broja on loan until end of season maybe but would also like the guy from Stuttgart Need a left Winger as Cornet and Benerama just not good enough and Paquetta is wasted there As much as I love Formals love for the club he just doesn't do enough for me apart from running around alot We need another Centre Half as no confidence in any of the ones we currently have"
Re: January Transfer Window
"It's the end of the road for Benny, if there was proper cover for left back I would put Emerson left wing for a game as I am sure he would offer more. I would be surprised if there is any movement on the transfer front, we are not going down and the current manager probably leaving at the end of the season. It makes sense for Timmy and new manager to work together in the summer."
Re: January Transfer Window
"Long term, we need to find a replacement for Coufal. We also need cover at both right and left back, with Johnson, Cresswell and possibly Kehrer on the way out. I’ve seen us linked with Walker-Peters again. Maybe not a glamorous signing but we need to keep a quota of homegrown players and his contract runs out in the summer."

Re: January Transfer Window
"A left back as our biggest priority? Our current one has been our best player this season, we need back up but it's not the ultimate priority this January. We need a striker desperately, a battering ram who is strong and quick, and good in the air, football talent not essential. A proper wide left midfielder with pace so we can get our best talent would be massive for us, allowing Paqueta to play centrally rather than being criminally wasted on the flank. The manager just won't play Cornet, and Benrahma is too slow. A quick player on that flank would be the best thing for this cսnt style of football that we play."
