Following confirms what we all know and is an indictment on both the manager and owners. Oldest team in the division that is embarrassingly behind all other teams for running and pressing. Only team relying on counter attacking / 1990s tactics https://www.hammers.news/analysis/david-moyes-faces-seriously-pressing-issue-ahead-of-west-ham-restart-after-shocking-drop-off/

"The only thing I feel very confident on is he will definitely get the sack, its just when. If he had a plan b and was looking to change it that would have happened a long time ago. Fact that he picked the same team and formation in a friendly then took a striker off for a holding midfielder tells you everything you need to know about his perspective on football. It hasn't worked in the league for 18 months, worked a bit in Europe, but we must be the easiest team to set up against in the league. I doubt very much managers bother scouting our games."

"Agree Trundle et al, I think we will all be very surprised with anything other than 2 defeats in the next 2 games. I appreciate the early work he did and the 2 trips to Europe but his team and tactics were worked out by all 10 months ago and unfortunately he and his coaching team do not have the experience and know how to set up a team any other way as evidenced by the 5 non technical players always picked for the first 11. ""Yesterdays man gets found out""ù shocker !!! Shame that the owners ineptitude and incompetence we all expected has meant waiting until we are in the bottom 3 which should be the case by the time we lose at home to Brentford. The ""death March""ù with Moyes is almost over though thats a first step. Not sure owners will take the right steps after that but in this case ""change for changes sake""ù is actually needed. :-("

"If anyone is hoping for a change after this midseason break, then they're in for a bit of a surprise judging by the warm up games we've had. I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest Moyes is going to change anything."

"Fucking hell. How are we still lumbered with this cսnt? You'd have thought it couldn't get much worse over the world cup but apparently all sorts of players are wanting to leave but it's ok, we've signed some hopeless fucking brazilian centre back by the sounds of it. Great. Reports seem to say that the couple of games we've played during the WC we've been hideously negative and shit. Why the fuck havent we used this break to get a new manager in? The obvious time to do it. No we'll wait until we've lost a few more games instead. This is like going out and leaving a toddler in the house and then coming back and wondering why the house is completely fucked and there's shit on the floor. Cunts the lot of them."

"What I find ""troubling"" about Moyes is his demeanour, attitude and arrogance Of course you can be that way if you are successful and win things, but he ain't won fuck all ! He thinks he's bombproof as we had our Euro run last season, a run that fell apart due to his attitude about January transfers His style is straight out of the 90s, he has not moved with the times and he certainly cannot handle creative players, he has no clue Moyes like players that run all day within the confines of his negative playbook He make Allardyce look like Guardiola"

"Moyes has done well up to the beginning on this year but we had not enough players and too many games. When has a Man U he bought Fellani and he more skilful players on the bench or not in the match day squad. I don't think he will get too much time to improve the results. With his style of play its the players we bought being disillusioned that worries me. They came for the ""Project"" not a potential relegation battle"

Has a team who have been the 3rd highest net spenders on the planet over a summer ever been relegated?

"Eerie, yes I do think he can keep us up although there are no guarantees. I have seen us relegated with better players in the past. I don't think he can take us to the next level though. I think he struggles when money is spent and the expectation levels are higher. That shouldn't detract from the job he has done though and certainly shouldn't warrant the hate and ""Despise""ù he is getting from some. Short memories."

"Keep dreaming, no worship here. Just appreciate someone that gave us something that we haven't had for a club for over 20 years in European football. How someone can despise him after that is actually quite troubling. I agree he probably can't take us much further though. You made yourself look a right cսnt with that Vlasic comment last week. Maybe learn to watch games before posting in future. Takashi Mike, I'm waiting for you to answer my questions Mikey Boy."

"Takashi, Stop avoiding my questions as per usual. I have never said John Lyall wasn't respected by all the players he played under. He was a great man. That doesn't have anything to do with the points I made so please try and answer them again. 1, Do you agree that finishing in the top 3 or 4 and winning a domestic trophy is harder now for managers of clubs like us and smaller clubs than it was in the 80s? 2 Do you actually despise David Moyes? Please answer both Mikey Boy."

"I'm not getting in to this nonsense debate again. Do yourself a favour and buy a book by Tim Crane released in 2018 called ""They Played For John Lyall"", where every player still alive (bar one) that played under him writes a tribute about the man. You then might stop with the imbecilic comparison to that dour scottish cսnt"

"Takashi, 1. Winning a domestic Cup was easier back then than it is now. Why don't clubs the size of Wimbledon, Coventry, Norwich, Oxford, Luton, Sunderland, Southampton win trophies so frequently like they did in the 70s and 80s? 2. Finishing 3rd was easier back then that it is now. Southampton & Watford both finished 2nd in the 80s. 3. So do you despise David Moyes then? If you despise a manager who has guided to 2 consecutive top 7 finishes and European campaigns I dread to think what you think about all the other managers that we have had over the past 35 years that haven't achieved that! It's fine to want a change of manager because you think he's taken us as far as he can but to actually ""despise""ù him considering overall he's done a decent job over the past 3 years and given us proper European football for the first time in 20 plus years seems a bit over the top doesn't it?"

"John Lyall won two FA Cup winners medal as manager. David Moyes never will John Lyall got us to 3rd in the old first division. Moyes choked a top four finish in consecutive seasons John Lyall is universally loved by ex players, and by all but a minority of fans (mostly idiotic west country cunts). Moyes is increasingly despised by a growing contingent of fans and his own players"

Claudio Ranieri has won a English Premiership/1st Division title. John Lyall never did. David Moyes guided West Ham to 2 consecutive top 7 top flight finishes. John Lyall never did. John Lyall is great btw but is this what this thread has come to when you make stupid comparisons about someone managing Argentina with Messi to Moyes managing West Ham.

So both our strikers and our 2 first choice CB injured and we haven't even been playing. Only at West Ham.
