Football Super league rumours yet again !!

Re: Finance
Life of Riley 9:25 Mon Apr 19 Exactly. Same effect if 3 PL clubs went into administration in the same season.

"‚öíÔ?è 9:18 Mon Apr 19 If Everton sign up for this, they won't need a shiny new stadium as all their games will be played in other parts of the world."

Finance
"To clear something up. This will in no way affect any of the current broadcasting deals. As long as the agreed amount of games are broadcast then no drama. The PL is made up of 21 shares 20 to the clubs and 1 to the fa all that happens when a club is relegated is that share gets passed on to a promoted club. The broadcasters might not be happy because of the clubs that are missing but if Liverpool, man utd and Arsenal all got relegated then that's no difference."

"To be fair to Klopp, ignoring how unhappy the entire football world is and complaining about a t shirt upsetting him is very Liverpool."

Mr kenzo I was thinking earlier that the yanks definitely started this idea. The whole format is very American and typical of an Uber rich family/organisation that thinks they can have the whole cake and eat it.

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Klopp allowed to waffle around in circles The question for him should have been will you walk away from Liverpool or at least consider your position if this goes ahead. Liking the Leeds warm up shirts ... Champions League logo with EARN IT written underneath. They left some in the Liverpool dressing room .... so Klopp had a hissy fit

"What are you expecting the West Ham board to say? They are playing it right at the moment, say nothing and let’s see what happens."
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Everton sign up for it with Moshiri and Usmanov involved and a new stadium on the way.

"UEFA should allow dissenting players the right to cancel their contracts from these clubs, and then maybe we can get Lingard on a free."

We are going to be playing Bayern Munich in the Champions League next season. That is exciting.

"BREAKING NEWS West Ham United reveal plans to form breakaway Newham Super League, with Canning Town, the Plaistow Railway Modellers Club, Forest Gate, and the Manor Park branch of the Royal British Legion."
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"think what sums the whole thing up was the previous comment that the American owners don't understand relegation's. so rather than try to understand it the think they have a right to change it,that is where the problem is. They have no concept that a sport should be competitive with real risk if you don't perform. They want it all like Disney land where everything is shiny and no one is sad."

Klopp has spent a few minutes saying absolutely nothing. Clearly in a tough position but I’d hoped for more.

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"AKA ERNIE 8:53 Mon Apr 19 The ESL clubs will know exactly how to get round the rules and assert their position to get what they want. Who is likely to be able to get their way - a multi-billion collaboration of overseas companies used to courts, using money and influence to get what they want or a blazer brigade and corrupt governing bodies happy to turn a blind eye if the money is right. The ESL clubs will absolutely have predicted the outrage and will have made sure they have a good legal standing to prevent being blocked, expelled from leagues or constrained from earning more money. They aren't the only greedy clubs but I'm sick of the commercialisation of sport and the lack of thought or even consideration of the generations of fans and communities to which these clubs were born and have grown up on."

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
What will happen to outstanding transfer fees? If clubs move outside the current structure might those become instantly due?
