"Why would Southgate come here? Even if England completely bomb out, he has enough friends around to wait for a ""big"" job. Like when Chelsea fire Potter."

"But the problem with being a club that proves itself capable of beating the best sides in the country and reaching European semi-finals is that other teams begin treating you like one. That is the key reason for West Ham's sluggish start to the season, according to Lukasz Fabianski who, as the club's No 1 goalkeeper, has been at the centre of their rise in recent seasons. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/32461/12707732/lukasz-fabianski-west-ham-goalkeeper-talks-premier-league-form-quality-new-signings-and-european-dreams If he's managed to convince the players and himself this is the only reason were struggling, then we're fucked. It's so much more, mostly stuff within his control to rectify."

"this is the problem with the press using this childish ""he said, she said"" approach. they should deal with actual things that are happening, and ask him if certain players won't be dropped and why certain players aren't getting a chance. why he keeps being so defensive, how are we ever going to move up the table if we can't score from open play. questions like that"

Takashi Miike 8:18 Fri Sep 30 Some of it came from a question about him saying players let him down after last game. He denied saying that then said they were good generally and for the last couple years.

Nevin is supposedly the brains of the operation and behind the scenes his arrival & input was seen as one of the biggest factors in our improvement. Partly what got him the england gig permanently having initially been involved as a bit of tokenism.

"not sure what Nevin contributes, possibly making the tea or putting the cones out but it's not a good look that he's currently working for the two most negative managers in football today, or does he have influence?"
