Re: Moyes Out
So the general consensus is from previous games it was clear bringing on Phillips would lead to goals being conceded so with this being the case the better punt would have been to bring on fresh legs for Antonio in the hope it would peg them back a bit seeing as the 'shut up shop' hasn't worked well this season without Alvarez. Think we can all just let Nutsack be the dick about it on his own......

"You on about the Conference Final, I thought everyone was talking about the Newcastle game?? Because it clearly didn't work on the weekend doing what he did. As for Ings, I've never changed my opinion, I've always rated him when fit. So speak for yourself."

Re: Moyes Out
"Massive Fist Clutching at straws or not, it worked and very West Ham fan celebrated, although it sounds like you didn't""¶ you sure you're West Ham? Winning that tin pot cup got us back into Europa this year so it mattered. Yeah in hindsight it didn't work, sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. That's how it goes sometimes. It's funny how so many have now all of a sudden changed their opinion on Ings ffs. Drawing with Villa and losing at Newcastle who needed two penalties to win is not bad form by the way. Our season is far from over and we are still a good team with plenty to play for. Maybe now Moyes will give up on Phillips although I'm not sure he can be with Alvarez being out for the Spurs game."

Re: Moyes Out
"Russ You're pissing in the wind if you think Nutso understands the game, like we do. Obviously bringing on someone like Ings/Mubama/Cornet for Antonio (if he absolutely must) would have meant we kept our shape and kept their defence honest. Instead all we did was signal that we will now try to shut up shop and to expect wave after wave of attacks which he naively thought we could manage with the likes of Phillips playing. But he doesn't get all that as his basic footballing understanding doesn't stretch that far. MLS is probably more his level to be fair."

"I tell you what doesn't make any sense in the whole world. Being so reliant on a striker like Antonio, and going years and years without brining in any kind of replacement for him."

Re: Moyes Out
"Nuttycunt: ""Preserving Antonio by limiting his minutes makes all the sense in the world. bring on Ings or Cornet who doesn't have a tackle in him and who delivers very little would be a call that even your messiah Eddie Howe wouldn't dare make. No manager in their right mind would do that because it's reckless."" And doing what Moyes did clearly worked and did us the world of good, didn't it..... Fuck me you really are thick as pigshit. As for the European commitment in the mighty Conference Cup playing the ever so dangerous Larnaca, you're badly clutching at straws that no one believes."
Re: Moyes Out
"Russ, You could well be right in hindsight, but we were missing Alvarez and they were creating clear chances before any changes were made. To bring on Phillips to shore things up when your best defensive midfielder is out is not the worst idea. Personally I'm not sure anything we would have done would have made a difference. Hard to win when the opposition are awarded two penalties at home and their fourth was a well taken goal from outside the box."

Re: Moyes Out
When we played Newcastle last season at that time we wasn't pre-occupied with Europe as it was in the middle of two weeks either side of the tin pot European competition we were in. In fact we was focussed on getting away from the relegation places.

Re: Moyes Out
"Nutsin 4:41 Tue Apr 2 I think your missing the point in that doing what Moyes did was more detrimental to Paqueta than anyone else. Antonio was playing high and dragging us up the park and Newcastle back. Creating the space for Paqueta to play in. All Moyes had to do was bring Ings and tell him to defend from the front and chase everything down to keep us higher up the pitch and maintain Paqueta's space and control of the game. As soon as he made the change, Paqueta lost that space as we sat back and the Geordies took advantage of the duck shoot that Moyes created. Paqueta was then put up front. I mean, that alone is enough of a sackable offence in my eyes. The Moyes Effect."
Re: Moyes Out
"No Trundle, I expect Liverpool to win it. One things for sure I'll be celebrating if we do, you'll probably be drowning your sorrows. Getting to the Semi finals AGAIN would be some accomplishment though. Fuck getting to the quarters is quite something considering Moyes doesn't have a fucking clue what he is doing according to you."

Re: Moyes Out
"I'd imagine you'll be pretty GUTTED when we don't win the Europa this season, considering all of your Moyes's love eggs are in that one basket, Nutsin."
Re: Moyes Out
"Massive Fist, but Newcastle didn't have Europe last year they were all in on getting into the Champions league, they had the bit between their teeth, we were pre occupied winning a trophy last year and are again this year. The league is all they have to play for. Preserving Antonio by limiting his minutes makes all the sense in the world. Especially with his hamstring history and his age. To ignore their goal threat and bring on Ings or Cornet who doesn't have a tackle in him and who delivers very little would be a call that even your messiah Eddie Howe wouldn't dare make. No manager in their right mind would do that because it's reckless."

Yet again Moyes nails the fans as the villain here Fuck me Brady and Sullivan must be apoplectic at his attitude to the people that matter the most If there were any more nails left for Moyes's coffin then it's firmly been driven in I've never despised a West Ham manager more than this cսnt

Re: Moyes Out
"No div, I'm saying in that particular match it had no bearing and the Team was as full strength as it could be for the League and wasn't altered due to European involvement. The Team and set-up wasn't wildly different from Saturdays. Fabianski was deemed the League Keeper that season, just as Areola is now for this one and Coufal didn't start due to returning back from injury back then. It's a good comparison as to how 2 managers approach the fixture and with much different outcomes due to their decisions. But I'd understand if a thicko like you finds it all too hard to understand."

Re: Moyes Out
"Europe/no Europe had fuck all bearing on the game itself. As a direct approach to both games, it is a good example of 1 manager being brave and making the most of an opportunity that arises around the hour mark and 1 who chooses to be utterly gutless when in a similar position on the day."

Re: Moyes Out
"There is actually a good direct parallel from precisely this time last year when it was actually us facing Newcastle at home and Newcastle raced in to a 1-3 lead like we did to them on Saturday. Only Howe didn't rest on his laurels and kept applying the attacking pressure by bringing on Isak, Gordon and Willock. End result, Isak scores them another and they go on to win comfortably 1-5, which is what we should have done to them. But the Gutless One doesn't have that mentality fearing losing, so defends at all costs and loses excruciatingly anyway. That's the difference some of us are calling for, not what the coward ended up serving up instead."

Re: Moyes Out
"Nutsack No one has said we should play like that... play whats in front of you if its Burnley attack them dont sit back, if its Arsenal or Man City sure park the bus.. if its Newcastle and they are 3-1 down and the team are decimated with injuries dont sit back attack them and dont let them back into the game... its not difficult but Moyes has a knack of fucking it up... Why cant you see that? Are you simple or something or 10 years old? 7th yes but have you seen the teams stacking up behind us we could be 10th before you know it... and as for Europe we all know we aint beating Leverkusen... but again who have we actually played up until now... no one! So give it up sonny... only you believe what you are saying now... you are pretty much on your own here... Id suggest you pop over to KUMB they love a Moyes moron...."
