Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all agree to plan. Five English clubs are among 11 European teams who have signed up to a breakaway Super League in an extraordinary development on the eve of Uefa's announcement of a new Champions League format. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/18/sports/soccer/super-league-united-liverpool-juventus-madrid.html"

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"I’d love to see Premier League offers fans of the scumbag 6 a one time offer. If they set up a consortium run Phoenix club they will be admitted at premier league level to replace the club they kick out. I reckon most fans would follow the new club, I know I would if west ham were involved. The old snake club can carry on in their competition that nobody cares about and see how long they last."

"You can vote for this ESL on the BBC website. I voted in favour of it, mainly because I'm getting bored talking about covid, brexit and muh russia and need something new to get angry about."

"I’m going to assume that tonight the premier league, FA and gov will have a meeting about best course of action"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"I’m all for it. Watching Arsenal vs Spurs scrap it out in front of a load of tourists at the bottom of a super league in a meaningless fixture with no relegation, whilst West Ham battle it out with Leicester, Everton, Villa, Leeds in what would be a very competitive premier league with many more winnable fixtures for all. Plus no two spankings per season from Man City and the Scouse. I say give them the rope and let them hang themselves. We’ll have the most competitive league and have a chance of winning it. I’m in."

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
I would guess if will conclude with a strongly worded statement saying to desist from super league or get get all damages at their disposal
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Problem is the greedy players in the top leagues will support it albeit not publicly. I am hoping it becomes like the China fiasco which is now losing what little appeal it had. Let em all go off and play exhibition games. Agree with the Neville suggestions but whatever happens the Premier League and FA etc. have to follow through on them and resist the financial or other incentives

Huffers I don’t believe that’s true I’d guess most don’t like playing friendlies but I don’t for a min think most wouldn’t give a fuck if they could never play for their country again

"If we don't support this proposal, Manchester United won't sell us Jesse Lingard. The decision's not as cut & dried as some want."

"""Meeting tomorrow morning between premier league and other 14 clubs"" You'd think that would be toast for the 6. At least it should be."
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Schalke? Well, this league has just dropped from being Super to mediocre."

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
They will just make a super world cup. I don't think many players give a fuck about international football anyway.
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Schalke were the club with the 16th highest revenue in Europe last year. That's why they're being talked up.

"UK prime minister Boris Johnson says the government will ""look at everything we can do"" to ensure the European Super League will not go ahead, as it is currently being proposed. Until he gets a kickback and a seat on the board."
