"I could watch Eastwood all day. Get onto Gran Torino and The Mule, if you haven't seen them. Greyhound I thought was decent, but Captain Phillips (also Hanks) is better, imo."

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"I like Eastwood, always have, he seems to specialise in the hard arse loner with no emotion, or difficulty showing any, funny how that theme runs through so many of his films! Even back to Dirty Harry and the spaghetti westerns Trailer here for Cry Macho. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5fQa9kN7pQ Also watched Greyhound last night, expect its been mentioned!!! (not trawling through to check) But a great all action film, and great performance from Tom Hanks, another legend of the screen IMO"

"Clint Eastwood, now 91, has another film out soon, that he also stars in 'Cry Macho' I remember reading that The Mule would be his last acting role. The man is an absolute icon. Legend."

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"RB There's a similar film from last year called Guns Akimbo with Daniel Radcliffe that's great fun too. I watched Those Who Wish Me Dead last night and it was a bit shit to be honest. Spoiler alert but one of the heroes is a six-month pregnant black woman on a horse! Shame really because I expected more from the director, Taylor Sheridon."

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
Jungle Cruise made The Pirates Of The Carribean look like Oscar material. It sort of stole from that and The Mummy all superior films and came out with this garnage. Shit film.Shit CGI as well. Was it made on a budget?

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"Basically, if you like this: Wake: Yer fond of me lobster aint’ ye? I seen it -- yer fond of me lobster! Say it! Say it. Say it! Winslow: I don’t have to say nothin’. Wake: Damn ye! Let Neptune strike ye dead Winslow! HAAARK! Hark Triton, hark! Bellow, bid our father the Sea King rise from the depths full foul in his fury! Black waves teeming with salt foam to smother this young mouth with pungent slime, to choke ye, engorging your organs til’ ye turn blue and bloated with bilge and brine and can scream no more -- only when he, crowned in cockle shells with slitherin’ tentacle tail and steaming beard take up his fell be-finned arm, his coral-tine trident screeches banshee-like in the tempest and plunges right through yer gullet, bursting ye -- a bulging bladder no more, but a blasted bloody film now and nothing for the harpies and the souls of dead sailors to peck and claw and feed upon only to be lapped up and swallowed by the infinite waters of the Dread Emperor himself -- forgotten to any man, to any time, forgotten to any god or devil, forgotten even to the sea, for any stuff for part of Winslow, even any scantling of your soul is Winslow no more, but is now itself the sea! Winslow: Alright, have it your way. I like your cookin’. ... you'll love the film and if you don't, watch something else. Personally I had no idea that William Defoe was such a great actor."

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
Ok cheers. I don't think I've seen the others you mentioned. Don't think it will be my cup of tea. I liked 'Get Out' from a few years ago.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
"Personally I loved The Lighthouse but it's pretty art-house, black and white and uses archaic 19th century language. If you've seen the other film Robert Eggers did, The Witch, you'll love it but I love folk horror films and could easily understand it if you think that it's shit. Basically if you liked the Original Wicker Man with Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee or Midsommer you''ll like The Lighthouse. If you want tits-out and jump scares you might want to swerve"

"I watched The Dry tonight and really enjoyed it. Amazingly for NS who extolled it's virtues, it wasn't a kid's film and no sign of a horse or the good ol' US of A in sight. Well done the Rochford kid x"

Northern If you were lucky enough to have a chat with Eric BANA he'd give you a good run down on Aussie Rules football Understand he has been the number 1 ticket holder for the St Kilda AFL team for the last decade.
