1 "Service user" who has enjoyed 3 excellent hotel meals every single day for months has now gone on hunger strike because his Asylum application is taking too long for him.

A fucking outrage if you ask me. Where is the humanity and fast-tracking system to eternal benefits??

Just like the Japan deal its all headline numbers that Korea dont agree with. Korea's view is that investment is mostly in companies in Korea that trade with the US. Believe it when it actually happens

The $100bn gas agreement is spread over 4 years and they already import $17bn per year so its and extra $32bn.

Plus obviously steel imports are at 50% tarriffs and manufacturers using that steel would cost them more.

Cars still at 15% more.

Its a win win for the US consumer 😁

Motor industry giant Ford says it expects tariffs to cost it about $2bn (£1.5bn) this year, which is more than previously expected, despite building most of its cars in America.

The point is the council are reviewing the decision to remove their housing benefits. Sounds like a case of ineligibility for the type of housing they were in. No thought from the council as to where they were supposed to go.

It is a disgrace the way people get treated. Seems like rules are rules irrespective of any kind of mitigation. In this case they should not have had to rely on a backlash. If thats what happened.

Hopefully sense has prevailed!

Goose I’ve been constantly proving you wrong from day one.
You’re still waiting/praying for Stagflation, I’m watching my pension grow from when I bought the bottom of the correction. Cha Ching!

Ill stick around to continue to rub your nose in it with every bit of good economic news that comes, so get ready because there will be plenty.

Poor Goose has no idea!
It would help your case if you could actually understand the numbers coming out. I note you completely ignored the real facts about demand.

I’ve lost interest in correcting your posts.
Oh I understand the numbers which is why I’ve been right.

You’re the one with egg on his face.
So why has underlying demand gone backwards if it’s such a strong set of numbers?

A goose and Nutsin thread is probably better.

To be fair, they should be praised.  They've single handily destroyed all talk of politics (which is a huge bonus) on this site for everyone else.  I've twice posted about UK politics on here recently, and it's been completely gobbled up with the shit they throw at each other.

Strip out trade inventory & government spending and you have “Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers”. This is underlying demand growth.

Q2 was 1.2%, a step back of 0.7% from Q1.

Like I said, don’t just read the headlines.
