"""Itchycoo Park"" is the nickname of Little Ilford Park in London. An ""Itchycoo"" is slang for a flower found in the park called a ""Stinging Nettle,"" which can burn the skin if touched. Said Lane: ""It's a place we used to go to in Ilford years ago. Some bloke we know suggested it to us because it's full of nettles and you keep scratching."""

DM and Darlo Debs A bit of useless information for you ( and other fans of Itchycoo Park) Many people think that it was written as a homage to Valentines Park. It wasn't. Locally Little Ilford Park was known as Itchycoo Park. No ducks though. Also for me the site of one the most horrific football injuries I ever witnessed. Our goalkeeper having climbed over the railings to retrieve the ball from the River Roding slipped on the return and impaled himself on the said railings.
