Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
I think slav is probably a good shout for our uniqely fucked situation.
i don't think it would go well, but in lieu of getting an actual top drawer manager who will put up with the dwarf's meddling, he stands a better chance than the other firefighters as he wouldn't come in under a cloud of resentment like a dyche would and we might actually get to watch some football being played. i suspect the real reason for it would be sullivan hoping to keep all the protests from actually affecting the results, with bilic providing us with "one of our own" to support.
there's a 50/50 shout we'd have a bump in results and look reasonably decent until january when it'd peter out and we'd end up safe but still firmly in the bottom half. the other possibility being that it's a complete false start and that will be all she wrote for west ham.

Wouldn't that be a bit embarrassing for Slav? Returning to his old club as assistant to his old assistant.
As for Terzic, Dortmund fans will tell you he did a great job in the cups but played pretty crap football and was useless at developing their highly rated youngsters. The football they played was so bad that a couple of their senior players rebelled and had a dust up with Terzic over it, which was probably the reason he eventually quit.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Just seen these quotes for the first time which has Bilic admitting what I had recently been saying about the Bilic sacking situation...
“We are now on very good terms. Of course, I wasn't happy. And of course, I think now, and even then, that I didn't deserve to be sacked."
“For a couple of seasons, we were extremely successful, the last season in Upton Park. And don't forget, make no mistake how difficult it is to move stadiums, especially to go from Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium."
“It's a big arena. It's not easy to do. And West Ham, and the proof is afterwards, West Ham needed a few seasons to get used to it.”

Just get on with it poison dwarf instead of waiting for the hapless twat to lose again..

I love slav . But he's a poor manager . But if they brought in edin terzic with slav as his assistant id be on board with that . Better still if Julian also returned. No more BS .
Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
You have them on the ropes. And your'e more than happy to let them off.?
Slav's a smart guy. Hopefully he tells them where too go. Or at least rinses them. On a Moyes type of contract.

If they rehired him they should make an apologetic statement how harsh they were to fire him when they did even though he had to be the one to contend with managing the rotten Stadium move even without any of the recent changes he was the one to first recommend they do, like the carpet, stands closer etc.
Such a fucking Circus though.
And Carlton Cole, and Fabianski!
Antonio's still on standby..

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Absolutely nailed it. The bullshit statement they put out last night was effectively "Potter ain't going anywhere yet".
Anyway, his six game sack limit was reset with the flukey Forest win so he has five more defeats in the bank. Fail to beat Palace and Everton and the "club source" rumours about him having three games to save his job will begin to be piped out from Dildo HQ.
It's idiot Sullivan's MO.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
On the subject of stats, Geo did a pretty interesting one last night about how we set up from corners, how rigid it is and also how flawed it is in a number of ways where opposition have clearly worked it out and are taking advantage of it, because we just don't have the right players in the right positions a lot of the time and do not adapt on the fly at all to what the opposition are doing. Like a lot of our best headers zonal marking and therefore easily cut out of a lot of deliveries, leaving our weaker headers who are man marking to just lose their aerial duels. Also letting Hermansen be easily blocked from getting to the ball by putting a man on him whereas we do not offer him any protection from it, which is obviously causing problems.
Very similar to what happened with Stoke when our set piece guy was their manager. Struggles.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Nuno is an upgrade on Potter right now. So if I had a choice then sack Potter and get Nuno. Is Nuno the right man for the job? Probably not.
Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Nobody for now. Not until expensive single minded options like Nuno and mourinho are safely employed elsewhere. Then typically once we’ve spent the next 3 months ditheriing and are in dire straits we’ll finally get Dyche. You know how it goes by now,

That or Dithering Dave will continue dragging his midget feet through the state of the fart Training Ground pitches by Brady's nasty manicured nails as yet another half decent Manager goes somewhere else.

Got Wolves promoted and then finished 7th back to back twice in the Premier League, then a 13th place finish before going to Spurs.
Barely given a chance at Spurs I felt was laughable on Spurs behalf ditching him after just 17 games and 8th in the League.
I was also impressed with what he did transforming Forest last season to have an excellent season genuinely pushing for a Champions League spot with little old Forest which Sullivan could only dream of with us.
Got a healthy win rate everywhere he's gone. 100% upgrade on Potter by some distance and has a pair of bollocks that Potter clearly doesn't have.
I'm not against him getting it over Potter, if that's the choice.
Seems to me we'll be seen as a poison challice, and he's more likely to sit on the sidelines and wait for a more 'sure thing'.

I know STATS have their place in football, but sometimes there's nothing better than the old eye test, even if I might need glasses.

All of this makes Saturday’s protest - and what follows from that - all the more important.
We’ve just got to try to get rid of the biggest problem at the club. It most likely won’t work. But we can’t sit idly by - or what does it say about us?
