I've barely got the energy to write this but it's the Cup...we'll inevitably not try very hard, but it's a somewhat welcome distraction.

They have a striker we were interested in...Richard Kone...who no doubt will upstage the 50m we have just spent.

I guess the main issue is we have injury to Fernandes and Paqueta, and that means every attacking first team player is in the squad with 3 out of 4 in the starting line up. Earthy is gone. Guilherme is gone. 

We don't have any other wingers or forwards to call on.

The only positive out of this surreal fucking shitshow of a season is that I 'm more than O.K with Magassa, Myers and Potts in the starting XI. We've got to start building a new team for the future. Most of our current squad are absolute toast. We need a proper reset. 

Get Carrick in with a wise old head (but not too old) as assistant manager.
