If you've got any (useful) feedback about the new site, feature requests or any issues spotted, reply to this message and we'll investigate!

Excellent, I see it is one hour behind London time.  Even after death the original site still lives.

So what about the WHO clock?  I hope the admins have maintained tradition and ensured that the WHO clock bears no relation to the actual time.

I will post one of my usual 10000 word replies soon on a thread. That will be as rigorous a test for the site and all that read it as can be imagined :-)

"NB. You need to have a Timezone set (just above) for that setting to display properly."

Complete the timezone details just above it, and it will then let you save the scaling piece below it.

any chance of a choice of colours / text sizes (I know I can increase the size in my browser, but it tends to revert when I open in a new tab).
This is implemented now.

If you go to the User Control Panel (top right menu where your username shows), then choose 'board preferences' from within, the bottom three options in the settings that show up let you choose to change the font size and make bold if needed (one for desktop display, one for mobile display).

NB. You need to have a Timezone set (just above) for that setting to display properly.

Hope that helps the peepers!

Are we going to be allowed to post pics and gifs etc or is that just too dangerous?
You already can, by posting a URL to the image (image button in editor) or a URL to a site like Giphy (just post it in the text and it will convert).

Posting pics off of hard drives/non-internet pics is more troublesome due to cost of storage over time.  At the moment it's been limited to 500k but that could get reduced. For bigger images, upload them to a free image hosting site like Imgur, and then post up the URL from there.

And usual moderation rules would apply...nothing porn, nothing overly 'graphic' etc.
cheers! Makes sense just to limit it to (suitable) pics and gifs linked from elsewhere online rather than updated!

Smiley happy grrr 3.0 incoming from someone soon then 🤣

Will look into it....it's one of those things that can be hard to be 'all things to all men, but will see if there is any accessibility functionality, or can offer an alternative style/display that is an easier read.

Might not be straight away but will investigate.

It may look a little similar as it uses the same underlying software, so you're somewhat restricted on layouts, and the features available will be broadly similar.

Hopefully that's not a problem.

MaryMillingtonsGhost wrote: 25 Aug 2024, 21:18 Is there any way of permanently setting the post order to Descending (latest post first in the list)?
I'm finding that the setting keeps defaulting to Ascending, even after I've set to Descending:

Look at the 'From WHO, start here' thread. Point 4. In the User Control Panel....Display settings....set posts and replies to 'Descending'.
