Antonio is so fucking lazy.

Antonio and Soucek are fucking abysmal.

The manager knows this but hasn't got better options just yet.
Just give Soler a few weeks and Soucek is a folirst XI history 

Not a pen but a wake up call 

Nobody on here dislikes Soucek as a person and most can see what he contributes in terms of height in the box and goal threat. But you should be able to tell from even the first ten minutes today, far too often attacking moves break down when the ball goes to him. If he’s not scoring he’s the weak link and he contributes nothing in defence apart from a clearance.

Twice in the space of a few minutes the ball goes to Soucek and due to his limited technical ability the attack breaks down. He’s been decent in the past but is not the type of player we need - him and Antonio are just not comfortable on the ball.

Decent enough start... competitive midfield...can feel that final ball will be lacking though.

It's not soucek dislike, it's seeing yet another manager sacrificing possibly the most key position in the team for a bloke that struggles to pass the ball. the manager has also decided our most talented player should now play every week out of position on the left wing. It's infuriating having another moyes clone

Strange to me that Soucek dislike blinds people from seeing his contribution in the first 2 games.
However, disappointing starting line up. Paqueta must not be fully fit after his travels? I understand not putting Soler straight in. Hopefully, plan is to start like this and go all out attack later in the game with the subs.

So he is, didn't see his name at the end of the subs DOH.

Paqueta rested as he was late back from Brazil apparently.

No Ings in the squad either. Is he injured?
If he has no future here even as a sub then why didn't we do more to get rid of him over the summer?

I know it's still early but barely any of the new signings have had a chance and we're still relying on Antonio up front and starting Mavrapanos & Soucek every game.
All very underwhelming so far.

Respect the point line up . Is Moyes consulting on team selection ! Very disappointing.

Looks like Paqueta's been dropped for his poor recent displays... problem is even when he plays poorly he is the one player that creates something from nothing.

Just dont get why he thinks Soucek is a starter... I hope Soler gets some time as his replacement at some point but if we need a goal I'm sure Paqueta will be used.

Also hope that the front 3 will alternate so give Kudus time on his preferred right side.

I think Soucek is worth having in the side when we get corner kicks as he is so tall , expect a few corners today.

Thought you were telling us earlier Soucek was a goal threat! He's not remotely a defensive midfielder as he doesn't put a tackle in and is only remotely effective in the box.

Disappointing 

I assume JL has got a plan to use his new signings as more than a sub at some point or what's the point in bringing them in?  Paquetá hasn't been on fire but on bench and Soucek playing?!  Could be an injury but if you are fit for the bench you should be fit to start.  Soler I can understand and with Bowen and Kudus I am not surprised  at Summerville although has he been brought in just as a squad player?  It's all very Moyes esque at the m moment, hope I am proved wrong.
