Agree with the Rug, anyone who points out last season's result at Fulham as a comparison is a right pillock. We didn't lose at home to Villa last season.

Agree that the 1-1 scoreline being a major improvement on the 0-5 loss last season is not quite what it seems. Fulham were not the same Fulham we played last season. They beat us 5-0 becuase they were playing impressive football against us. The team put out on Saturday could have been 3-0 down at half time if Fulham had played the same way they did against us last season. All that would have been different is maybe it would have been kept to 3-0 as changes were made at half time.

Maybe, it depends if he keeps on serving up more of the shit we've seen so far. If it's much improved against Chelsea, we'll discuss the improvement.

It's not hard to work out, unless you're a doddering old fool.

So having declared your dislike of jalopy and told us you were not impressed with his appointment does this mean that for the rest of his employment you are going bombard this Board with your wind and piss negativity?

Because this is what it sounds like.

Anyone that spouts this load of bollocks tells you all you need to know about their football knowledge.

Are we going to do that with every fixture? We beat Chelsea at home last season, if we lose at the weekend, what does that mean? Completely fuck all taken in isolation against last seasons result. We could quite easily have lost by a few against Fulham, we were fucking shit and very lucky to nick a point.

He deserves time, but we still need to be honest about what we're seeing. It's been nowhere near good enough so far, from his team selections to how we've played. Massive improvement needed, the manager has nowhere near earned his money yet.

A 5-0 drubbing last season compared to 1-1 this time around is a distinct improvement. We turn up with an as yet unsettled side and jalopy even manages to get a goal out of Ings.

We are a work in progress with important players still not yet up to speed so patience must be the watchword.

I don't think its a lack of players. Its about picking the right players for the right games. I mean, Alzarez, Soucek and Rodriguez in the same eleven with Paqueta and Soler on the bench. Fuck off.

Looks like Emerson is going to be OK after that knock - a scan revealed no serious injury to the thigh

I'm willing to give the manager the benefit of the doubt, for now.
Would rather see Irving get a start than Soucek honestly.

Still think Soucek has a role to play from the bench, but shouldn’t be starting for us if we are gonna actually try to play a bit of football.

He did drop Soucek against City, so you might be right. Will find out on Saturday.

"There's absolutely no way Sullivan has any influence in picking the team."

why is he picking an inferior player then? why's he picking a fucking carthorse that can't fucking pass in front of Brazilian and Spanish playmakers? why's he picking a striker who's legs have gone and is more interested in globetrotting for fucking jamaica than scoring goals for us?

Reckon we’ll start with Coufal and Obi Wan on Saturday. Scarles on the bench. But then, Emerson hasn’t been ruled out just yet, right?

You don't honestly believe that, do you?

The manager has a history of walking out if he doesn't get his own way.  There's absolutely no way Sullivan has any influence in picking the team.

I don't see left back as a real problem considering Emerson has made the position his own now, doing well since he arrived, Cresswell is the immediate back up once he's fully recovered from his recent injury and Scarles is viewed rightly as the longer term option beside Emerson.

Agreed on the Striker catastrofuck.
Left back is still a problem.  You'll discover that next weekend.

Said it before KO, why is Mavrapanos still starting ahead of Todibo who we presumably signed to be first choice.

He's already been at fault for 2 or 3 goals this season and Todibo is not going to settle in and get match fit by sitting on the bench.

You are right. Kudus is not good enough to sulk. Not even sure why he is sulking. Is it because he is better down the right or central? But, regardless, big season for him and he needs to start delivering.
