Re: George Earthy
Good stuff from the Wurzels
I have faith in George ...but I agree with the drama queen Sir Alfred's post to some extent...I was expecting more from him this season there tbh.
I rate him highly..so the bar is high .

They drop him, and win back to back games to ascend the table. You're a fucking idiot ferret if you think that he's been a regular all season and one of their better players, they rave about him down at fratton park
If you bothered to follow what he's actually doing then you'd know he's out injured which is why he's not playing at the momentThe Ferret is clearly James O'Brien
I think of him more like an Owen Jones character, gay, effeminate and trying to be edgy whilst being no more than a mincing queen.

Why would you want to have a pop at one of our own?

Re: George Earthy
Hopefully last night is a turning point in the managers thinking.
They have another 12 games & possibly the playoffs
Someone like Potts has started regularly but I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing for Earthy have to struggle a bit to get into the team.
Not in favour of loans of more than one season but both in the Championship is good development but both have to come back in the summer & work to be in the squad
I have hopes for both especially Earthy. Small sample but liked the way he passed and moved against Luton & he combined naturally with Paqueta. Seemed to be on the wavelength of better players

Re: George Earthy
Has a knack of beimg in the right place as both goals were similar to the one he got in his appearance last season.
But, with limited minutes at Bristol, its still too early to judge imo. And although he has not done much, if anything, wrong when he has come on, equally he has not “caught the eye” which the successful future Prem players tend to show even early on. Jury out for me, as with Potts, on whether he will make it in the top flight. Hope he does but no strong indications just yet.

Re: George Earthy
Earthy came on in the 84th minute yesterday and although he only had 10 minutes he had a few nice touches on the ball, was neat and tidy and opened up the Cardiff defence twice, I don't understand why Liam Manning doesn't give him longer or start him, it's not as if Bristol are on a winning streak, hopefully he'll get a run in the side soon
Re: George Earthy
Reading a few Pompey forums, the consensus seems to be that Potts is one of their, if not most, gifted players technically and works very hard but is still too lightweight and lacks the physicality at times. That seems fair and arguably justifies the loan move to the Championship. Its a gruelling schedule but should help toughen him up a bit?

Re: George Earthy
The Pompey fans seem to love him, so I assume he's head and shoulders above the rest. Irrespective of how they're doing or where they finish, as long as he's playing well, it won't stunt his development.
We got relegated in 2011 and Scott Parker was still able to win the PFA Player of the Year nomination.
My worry is will JLOP give youth a chance, assuming he's here beyond next week!

Re: George Earthy
I see Tottenham started 4 17/18 yo’s in their Europa win in Hungary
We seem reluctant to give any a chance
Scarles signed a new contract this week, he should be on the bench ahead of Cresswell & should have played at Liverpool
Id have loaned Earthy & Potts out til January & then assessed whether they should come back & be involved or whether continuing at Bristol & Portsmouth (or elsewhere) is best
Earthy has to be in a Bristol City team that isn’t pulling up any trees now that he is fit again

Re: George Earthy
I live in Bristol and friends with a lot of city fans. They all wondered why he didn’t come on last night as they badly needed some creativity. Hopefully he comes on and scores the winner against Cardiff at the weekend.
