If we start having a bad season and a relegation fight I'm sure the number of signatures will rise exponentially.

It's worth noting that just about 5,600 have now already signed it. Some didn't think it would get more than a few hundred once upon a time due to apathy. I reckon we could double that before the seasons out.

It may well make no difference, but if you don’t sign up it’s like giving Sullivan and Brady the green light.
GBHammer gets it.
It should, but many don't think the petition will do anything.

There's a disengaged fanbase or indifferent.

I remember in the early days leafletting for Hammers United and the amount of comments about how people enjoyed what the club was doing was mind-blowing. This would have been 2019 and I don't think much has changed.

We used to be followed by men, now it's birds galore and their effeminate lefty male mates instagramming, away fans in the home end and tourists.

Relegation might do us a favour.

There is a certain school of thought that once a petition reaches 5,000 signatures that is the foundation for it to kick on quickly as long as it's shared widely and cross referenced amongst as many different fan groups as possible who must be able to see the writing on the wall at this stage. Even KUMB have been getting a bit fruity lately 🙄

I'm not saying it will make much of a difference to the overall situation but at least make sure the link is always posted across all media whether it's online or a downloadable flyer or poster that can be printed.

At least do things properly. FFS

We don't need players that can keep the ball, we need a team that can keep the ball.

The problem with this is that you get players that the manager doesn't want to play and will not be played.

That is simple. Objectively select a coach in line with the vison of the club. Twats who park players in a sulk would not get employed in the first place. Potter had little say at Brighton, he coached. Talent selection was lead by Tony Bloom and his patented algorithm supported by analysts. The Idea of an omnipotent manager is outdated. Guardiola; Slot; Howe; etc. are primarily coaches.
Most clubs have a functioning structure. Sure they have to work within their means and some, like Villa stretch to the point of breaking. The coach participates in identifying a type of player and the analysts, coach and financial managers draw up a long list, short list and as team hire a player within their means. It isn't 100% guaranteed, but is far more likely to succeed than random selection by an owner or a manager picking an individual and then an owner trying to do a deal.
Even Moyes gets it now.  Two of the players he has signed for Everton first came on his radar through Tim Steidten and his team at West Ham. Yet Steidten went for "disappointing recruitment", as did Hussilos and Numan.
We are a circus and until Sullivan goes we will remain so.

I think unless you can afford/attract world class attackers who keep the ball all the time, score plenty and you don't have to worry about defending, most managers have to build from the back really. Especially for us right now given that's our glaring weakness. CB, CDM, CM. Establish a platform and then build on it. It's a lot easier to stop conceding goals than it is to start scoring them in huge numbers.

Ironically we've firstly bought a wing back which is none of those positions, but I'd hope to god at least one CB (ideally two but we can make do with Todibo, Kilman and one other, I guess- seen as neither of those are going anywhere any time soon unless Todibo IS being flipped- but I think that would have happened already unless there's an earliest date it can) and one or two CM's come in along with a striker. It's the minimum we need but it's a start.

Dinosaurs build from the back. Moyes did it, Dawson, backs to the wall; and latterly, Aguerd, an excellent player in the right system and league, not suited to Moyesball or constant defending but, apparently, watched for two years.  Loppetegui did it, Kilman who is no leader, not worth £40m and probably impossible to shift.
This latest start from the back demonstrates why, beyond a shadow of a doubt, we need a Director of football. Sullivan "Backing" the latest manager to rebuild in his own image with a mixture of Sullivan choices and the managers wished for players is pointless from the team building point of view (maybe not the owners) and, ultimately, will lead to another rebuild in the near future as we achieve, at best, the apparent objective of survival without troubling the upper levels of the league too much and remain uncompetitive in the cups.
After all you can always blame, Hussillos; Newman; Steidten; Macaulay as it is easier than looking in the mirror to see the real problem.
Progressive ownership would change this outdated fiefdom approach.
We are crying out for an identity; a vision; strategy; tactics to deliver that strategy and the growth of the club. Recruitment, and sales, should be in line with that identity. In short progress not simply regular change, lurching from one disappointment to the next.
Sullivan won't deliver that progress so we will never be the World Class Team his acolyte promised whilst he is in charge.

I think it's a pretty damning fact that as football teams around the world were tearing down their municipal athletics stadiums to build a proper football stadium modelled on the atmosphere of a traditional British ground that those idiots shoehorned us into the worst possible example of a municipal athletics stadium totally unfit for football.
Still there are fans thinking this pile of shit is decent.
West Ham are broken
Broken ?
what the fuck is that.
We'll never be broken..ever.
smurfs tenure is kangooroo shit compared to the Cairns .
We will see off smurf ..like we saw off uncle terrence and his gob - shite  goffer on capital radio every chance they had slagging us off ..

We prevail...cos it's what we do best

Not sure what you find difficult to understand?
Broken in a sense that it is not working.
If something isn't working properly, it has to be fixed. Most parts of West Ham need fixing, and maybe the vital part is the head cսnt Sullivan.

Yep and what I love about our long suffering fanbase is we call it out straight away for what it is. Unlike so many other disingenuous fanbases (Gooners, Chelsea) who think they can never do any wrong would just sugarcoat the entire farce and pretend that what they have is the absolute bollocks. We are definitely built different as a fanbase and all the better for it.

Thing is, had those wankers actually delivered what they promised (which I never believed they could from the start) then the majority of the genuine fanbase would have been content and accepting of what happened for all the right intentions. What transpired though was the total opposite. A 'project' littered with lies and spin that would make bith Campbell and Blair blush and was effectively about feathering their own nests and a Club used as their plaything and nothing else. They certainly never had the fans best intentions at the heart of such a huge decision, that's for fucking sure.
