I wonder what Brooking thinks about all this Sullivan Brady mis-management of the club…
This season looks like relegation survival mode…
Not an environment for Potter or similar manager…
need a proven fighter communicator,,,motivator…and winner…
NOT A CEREBRAL One paced drone on the sidelines…

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Lampards not just divisive, it would make a complete mockery of our justified hatred of the fella since he left us.
I don't doubt there's some who are prepared to flirt with the idea out of desperation but for many others of us out there, it would be the ultimate insult to see him become our new Manager. Nothing he'd be able to say or do now would change a thing and it should be left well alone.
And if he didn't want it to be this way, then he should have thought harder about how he reacted once he left for those west London slags. So fuck the fat Chelsea loving cսnt.

I know Lampard is obviously a decisive figure, but I’d be happy for him to get a crack, but now is not the right time for either party. Mourinho would have been the best option, but as usual, Sullivan fiddles while Rome burns. He’ll now wait until after Palace, and even a loss there is no guarantee Sullivan will do the right thing, the dithering tight cսnt.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Because they appointed Thomas Frank. It's a pointless question that doesn't detract from me being willing to see Carrick appointed here, no matter how much a risk you wish to portray it as.
If you're arguing that we should only appoint high profile PL experienced managers, fair enough but don't moan when it's no different to Allardyce, Pellegrini, Moyes and Potter.

Not every appointment has be the highest profile you can find.It doesn't, but he did get a plumb job at his hometown club.
Sacked, replaced by the sacked Luton Town manager.
We look like relegation fodder at present, taking a chance on a manager who doesn't apparently have a Plan B according to fans of his former club?
I’m not sure what his replacement has to do with anything? I’m also not sure Middlesbrough have really underperformed under Carrick. They had a play off, were close to play offs twice after and had an EFL cup semi final. They were never real prospects from automatic promotion.
Not saying it wouldn’t be a punt to take him, but I think he is a greater fit for the vision of our fan base long term than anything we will likely end up with.
Any idea why he didn't get the Tottenham job?
Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Not to mention a fucking terrible manager.

How about Paolo & Carrick in a Clough/Taylor style set-up?
Carrick coaches the team and Paolo deals with the board and all PR aspects.

I don't think Carrick is a sensible choice in this scenario. Walking into this mess would be much too much for him at this stage in his career.
Sullivan would absolutely have his way with him as well.

I wouldn't be against us getting a young untested manager in, if i thought they had the right minerals and he had proper ideas and charisma, and would align with the owners.
CarrickDoesn’t give off those vibes, and he's failed at not the hardest job in the world. The double relegated sacked Luton manager has improved them ffs
Carrick would be a shocking appointment in our current predicament.

OK, 5 miles down the road
He played for Borough as a kid, but let's not let such slight semantics get in the way if him getting the bullet for the sacked Luton manager.
Their fans were well rid of him. Funny old game.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
His game was never about being aggressive, it was always about reading the game usually being in the right spot and making it constantly tick in the middle dictating from deep.
Eerie does make a fair point that Boro are now doing very well post Carrick so it could well be a risk to go for Carrick. I just weigh it up with the current circumstances of what's going on both on and off the field. 1) Can't see him doing much worse in the situation we are in on the pitch in the League 2) Could see him being a figure that helps draw the Supporter's back in to the Club with it seemingly on it's knees with how it feels so flat and detached from what our supporters want. 3) The West Ham ethos he'd understand that the likes of Potter/Allardyce/Moyes never could but without the toxicity of Lampard. He walks through the door, the place would light up and fans would be engaged once more like it probably hasn't since Bilic arrived.
I won't ever deny it doesn't come with risk but 1 I'm happy taking if it's either him or Potter.
Also, there are other managers out there, so not the be all and end all either. Just it doesn't help when you see some of them go to other Clubs as we continue to limp on with some chatter even suggesting Big Fat Frank returning of all managers.

Agree. Elegant but 'Lightweight' would probably be what I'd say.
But yes still a great player. More physicality would have made him a top, top player. And a few more goals.

They played really nice football but at times lacked bite and aggression and got rolled over by bullies.Sounds like him as a player TBH
Well, I always thought that. My ONLY criticism of Carrick as a player was that he lacked aggression and a bit of personality. When we were getting beat he stayed in the same gear and played the same way. That's not to say I don't think he was a top quality player.
Seems his management style may be the same.

Southgate will be holding out for Man Utd or Villa if they become available. Which is good as he wouldn’t be a good fit for us or him.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Southgate would be another fucking disaster for us. He'd be MENTAL to take the job as West Ham manager, as well, unless he wants to damage his stock irreversibly.
He'd be better off sticking to after dinner speaking and dining out on his England career TBH because he'll never have it better than that. Any top club job will probably ruthlessly expose his shortcomings.
Plus he'll probably sign Mason Mount.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Three seasons on the bounce of absolutely dire football. Three managers who couldn’t pick a team if they only had 11 available players. A board that doesn’t know it’s arse from its elbow. An academy that is one of the best in the country but with players who have little or no chance of replacing old foreign mercenaries that don’t give a shit for the club. This club needs a top down to the bottom overhaul.
