I want the best side available to play to its true potential next game and all games. If Moyes and his ego get in the way, they know what they can do.

Hammer and Pickle 10:14 Wed Aug 30 "and loses." So you are changing your position to mine. Yes Pickle if he loses a bunch of games, he could be forced out. But if he keeps winning he won't be...again. Have a great evening Pickle.

Moyes’s odds have of course been lengthening, and will continue to do so with a win on Friday. But just see what happens if he fails to take the initiative, goes defensive and loses.

A footballer just wants to stop the ball going in their net and getting it in the other net unless they have been seduced by some spurious philosophy that has zero meaning in the professional gam.

Hammer and Pickle 9:45 Wed Aug 30 "win in style" You are making stuff up. Soucek was picked ahead of fan and player favourites all last year. No one pushed Moyes out. Players looked perfectly happy in those scenes after the Final and at the parade after winning something playing Moyes 'football. If that football is not "in style," there is no need for it according to them. Or are you saying it was "in style"? Players seem perfectly happy with the wins and the possession, this year. Some have said so explicitly. Again if we keep winning, no ones's pushing Moyes out. It was a silly thing to say.

Anyway, the players, Tim Steidten and Mark Noble will know, far better than anyone else, to what extent they have been winning because of or despite Moyes’s selection and instructions. If he picks Soucek ahead of, say, Àlvarez, and goes super defensive as is his first instinct, he won’t be supporting the players obvious and perfectly acceptable need to win and win in style.

Sorry Pickle Players watch football too. They know how we have won a European trophy playing Moyes' football. None of them had a lack of other suitors ( maybe Ward-Prowse had the least) and yet here they are. They are getting paid and they want to win things. If we keep winning, no one is pushing Moyes out, especially the players that uprooted their lives to play here. Your ignorance of football is on par with cookery and international law.

All you’ve done, oikes, is pick out some narrow aspects of the players’ game that would suit Moyes style. And while I’m happy to admit I haven’t asked them, what I suggest you do is expend your imaginative horizon enough to ask yourself if they would want to play a season according to Moyes requirements. You needn’t bother getting back to me - this exchange is over.

I would be staggered if Moyes doesn't see out his contract. Anyway for those who want to watch tippy tappy surely you’re getting the best of all worlds? You get Chelsea or Brighton passing to spunk over and then we score a handful and spend the game taking the piss out of the tippy tappy cunts? We win. You get to watch some passing. What’s not to love?

This will be a great barometer of what Moyes plans for the season We’ve played three games I thought we played on the front foot against Bournemouth until we scored where we changed tactics to park the bus instead of trying to put the game to bed. Chelsea I thought we battled well but we were truly awful and got lucky. Saturday we played like a proper counter attacking team not just a team that defends and hopes for the best. This team haven’t got a single player that would get anywhere near our bench if everybody’s fit. There is no reason to sit off this lot if we have any aspirations to finish near the top of the league.

Hammer and Pickle 7:56 Wed Aug 30 Nope. Ignorance of the players there. Ward-Prowse - set pieces, leader, gives all he can on defence Alvarez - big stay at home defensive midfield Dinos - before anything a big defender who's good in the air Kudos - amazing on the break All I really know about Yuri Alberto is he is describe as a Moyes player. He's already started the 2 he could of the 4. Nah, if there were any parting it would have been much earlier.

Re: ⚽ Luton v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
I'm hoping there will be an "amicable parting of ways" a lot sooner than later whatever the game results. The club has now assembled a squad of players totally unsuited to Moyes's whole football philosophy and he won't be able either to mould them to it or keep them from starting indefinitely. He's basically being forced out of the club by transfer policy.

Moyes isn't being shown the door until we lose a fair number of games. I personally can't wish for that.

Yarmouth 2:00 Wed Aug 30 Same time following and exactly the same feelings. I am very interested (concerned?) as to what Moyes will do on Friday. Frankly, with the available players we have Soucek, although he has had by his recent standards a couple of half decent games, shouldn’t be near the starting line up. My midfield would be Alvarez, JWP and Paqueta. We will see though (obviously).

Some will have you believe there never has been a West Ham way but I remember plenty of games where the opposition home side watered their pitch and let the turf grow the week prior to our game, trying to stop the slick passing we were known for if in the mood.....

I often wonder why people call each other Idiots on this site. Well H & P all I heard was Football..Football than night because of the Brand of football on offer that Night nearly 60 years ago was because of HOW GOOD THE FUCKIN FOOTBALL WAS. If you knew anything about the game, you would know Don Revie and his Leeds side in those days was literally unbeatable. I hope you manged to get your Brain around that.
