Moyes brings back the Czech boys after they contributed to a shicking first half against Wolves and keeps Cresswell in Old and slow is what he likes does Moyes. Coufal has been awful recently too

Cresswell nailed on for a yellow and would be no surprise to see him get a red. Does Moyes never learn.

I’m hoping the only reason Johnson isn’t starting is that he might end up coming on for JWP or Soucek if we keep getting destroyed in midfield. Considering Philips cannot be used. It feels weird that every time Johnson has played he’s been one of the best players on the pitch but can never start. Shame.

"Bowen is also a massive miss obviously, his pace and aggression on the counter would have unsettled them as they wouldn't be used to dealing with it."
Re: ‚ö? Leverkusen v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Back 5 I reckon, which protects Cresswell and he offers more joining in when (if) we go forward. Also gives the flexibility to switch to a 4 if needed. Big task but I don’t think they’re as clear favourites as is being made out. They’ve gotta lose sometime."

Lets be clear unless Leverkusen put out a second string this is going to be a very tough watch. It would take an exceptional performance to even be in with a chance in the second leg. My only hope is they underestimate us and get sloppy. Be surprised if we aren't 1-0 down in the first 10 minutes. I hope I'll eat my words but i intend on heavy drinking anyway so I probably won't be in a state to care.

Moyes majorly does my head in. He starts Bowen at Wolves when he really doesn't have to and Bowen get's crocked. So he doesn't start a forward to replace Bowen and instead pushes a fullback into midfield. Anyway: IRONS!

"Johnson for me and then play him and Emerson as wing backs. Our midfield is dreadfully slow, I presume Emerson will move inside to help out."

"I don't get playing 'Cresswell an aging LB at CB when you actual CBs on the bench. Also I think it would be better to have another big player for player for attacking set pieces and to defend as we will be doing a lot of it, another plus would be the physicality for them facing a big team grom the Prem. Moyes has missed a trick I feel, unless he is going 4 at the back Emerson left wing."

"I’m not optimistic and let’s be honest this has got 0-3 or 0-4 written all over it. Anything less is going to be a positive…. All this brave talk about “go at them” is what any normal team would do but really what are the odds of that happening? We’re going to sit deep, defend for dear life and try keep it 0-0 or 0-1 —-that’s in the dinosaurs DNA and people really think he’s going to change that tonight after all these years? Now if he did differently then we might be in with half a chance."
Re: ‚ö? Leverkusen v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Antonio is boiling to get at them, I’d rather he had a cool head, it’s when he gets brain dead that he shoots from anywhere instead of keeping possession by passing to a team mate."

"'We're well drilled to defend' is a myth that surely has to be put to bed? We've got the second worst clean sheet record in the premier league. We're actually much better when we really go for it. I'm still shitting it though. I'm hoping it's a memorable night for a good, rather than bad reason."

They're favourites and seems like most neutrals have written us off. I hope we can trouble them. Apparently Antonio is boiling over to get at them. Great I'd we can score and keep in the tie. Hope.we don't go down by 3 or 4. It's magnificent to be in Europe on April and have a great tie like this. Can't wait for tonight. Bring it on. COYI!
