Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
"There's a great article from Sky Sports analysing why WH fans are unhappy with Moyesball. They analyse Pressing stats; Opposition Passes per defensive action; High turnovers; Progress against; 5 top European leagues possession stats and league positions. Here's a sample of one of the areas summarised to what it means for fans - ""The result is that West Ham rarely turn the ball over high up the pitch. Those moments that can be such a source of excitement, winning possession around the opposition box, are rare under Moyes. Only bottom club Sheffield United have fewer high turnovers."" Here's the link to it and I highly recommend it to all - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/37587/13071385/david-moyes-future-at-west-ham-for-some-supporters-this-is-about-much-more-than-results-style-issues-remain"

Re: Moyes Out
Saw Sullivan on Tv on Sunday... Poor sod looked comatose slumped in his seat... He should sell up or appoint a competent proven Managing Director... His Amateur poor management is holding us back...

Re: Moyes Out
"One thing that has done my nut in whenever neutral fans question why we'd want to let go of Moyes, so I now flip the question on it's head by asking them, would they wish to have Moyes as their new manager? Then without fail it's always greeted by a deathly silence before a swift, sharp fuck no by all sets of fans. So then get back in your lanes and pipe the fuck down with what you's all think is best for my (our) Club. Our fans reasonings are generally sound and understandable if you're in the thick of it all and dont need patronising with statements of how we've never had it so good. Yes, the Lyall/Greenwood years never happened.... But all this hypocritical fake nonsense pretending Moyes is some shit hot manager needs knocking right on the head. He got fortunate to walk back into a cushee job for a 2nd time, given a shit load of cash to spend for a Club of our size, especially comparatively speaking to previous times that no other WHU manager has ever enjoyed. And yet we still set-up as little old West Ham too scared to play anyone that's just been newly promoted, without a pot to piss in and not one that's now parked permanently in a new 62,500+ stadium, record ST sales, over a decade back in the Premier League when the money has never been so good. So yeah, it is fair to expect to see a consistent level of decent Football trying to take Teams on, rather than fearing them all the time, be it Arsenal at home or hunting Bournemouth (with all due respect to them). It's not rocket but for the hard of thinking cunts in the Media etc, it always seems too difficult for them to understand."

"We had 4 top ten PL finishes in 5 seasons under Redknapp. Redknapp, Pardew, Allardyce, Zola, Curbishley, Bilic and Pellegrini never achieved less PL losses than Moyes did last season."

Re: Moyes Out
Fair enough Eerie. You can't give four consecutive seasons where we have done better than the last 3 and this one to date.

"YorkHammer 10:31 Wed Feb 14 You're not having last season, we nearly got fucking relegated, it was an absolute shambles of a season. And you're not having this season, we're sliding down the table. Redknapp finished 8th, 5th & 9th 3 seasons ina row on an absolute fucking shoestring budget. Moyes has been given money (comparatively) that former managers can only dream of. I'd say the former's achievement doing that outweighs Moyes given the financial restrictions back then, and he won the intertoto which, if we're honest, contained comparable teams to the Conference. No West Ham manager ever had the pleasure of signing £50mil Brazil starting number 8's. If you're going to come out with ridiculous comments, you have to have context. We're spending what is unprecedented money for this club."

Re: Moyes Out
Make Stubbo right there - Moyesball is only a product of a business clusterfuck. Sullivan wants his EBITA and sees the club as no more than a football-related media entertainment and property vehicle. Brady facilitates for Sullivan and looks to reinforce her position while hating football and the fans. Moyes is comfortable for both because he makes no football demands. Steidten and the likes of Paqueta and Kudus are mere short-term crowd-pleasing assets so this is all just a nuisance that they hope will just go away. Such a shame - it really is.

Re: Moyes Out
There was a time under Moyes when we would get a free kick outside the opposition box and after a few short passes it would end up back with our goalkeeper. Now we don't even get into the opposition half for most of the game. It is supposed to be entertainment. I haven't been entertained for quite a time by Moyes. We are in a false position in the league through some very lucky results early season.
Re: Moyes Out
Which 4 consecutive top level seasons have been more successful than this one to date and the preceding 3?

Re: Moyes Out
"""a manager who has presided over the most successful period"" 6th & 7th place finishes are very good, but not otherworldly given our transfer spend. The LDV Vans European trophy, excellent for the night itself, hardly the greatest achievement given we play AZ fucking Alkmaar in the semis. Had we played 1 decent team, we would've been put to the sword. Couple that with losing 20 (TWENTY) league games last season in a relegation battle, whilst boring everyone to death, and now boring everyone to death this season and spiralling down the league... That's our most successful period? Put down the crack pipe, you fucking prat."
Re: Moyes Out
"I think that's all fair DaveyG. I'll revise my statement. Moyes is clearly a problem, but isn't the root of the problem. Doing all those things typically would mean someone above the manager would step in and rattle their cage, or get rid. But Sullivan isn't, and Steidten can't. So as I say Sullivan is the root cause of the issue. Moyes being the problem he is, is also symptom of a bigger problem....Sullivan being a poor Chairman, and replacing Moyes whilst likely providing some relief in the short term is likely only to see the cycle continue while Sullivan remains the one calling the shots."
Re: Moyes Out
I see Moyes as the biggest problem by a long way. He's the one deploying the current tactics- Sullivan isn't He's the one playing a full back at left wing when he has a useful one not receiving any game time - Sullivan isn't He's the one that has played two players out of position then sold them without replacing- Sullivan didn't He's the one not playing the youth - Sullivan isn't He's the one that made our biggest crock captain - Sullivan didn't He's the one that got Phillips in and now looks slower/more useless than any other player - Sullivan didn't He's the one that turned our best goalscorer into an ineffective striker and probably took his chance away of the Euros - Sullivan didn't I can't be bothered to add any more but feel free to add some more. Even joyo and twocunts could find another each.

Re: Moyes Out
"York, perhaps nyc is overdramatising with the language of finished, but you would have to argue that it displays a clear inability progress or move with the times. Stiedten being sought by Liverpool (if any truth) would suggest he is deemed to be close to the top his game. On the flip side, who is queuing up for Moyes? Yes, Moyes has had two successful league finishes. He got to a semi of a, lets face it, weak Europa League (Rangers nearly won it!), and he won some minnow version that didn't exist 3 years ago, which was great at the time but we absolutely should have won it. How long can you rely on that perceived success before the credit runs out?"
