"Eerie Descent 1:29 Tue Feb 13 We're both in agreement that the bog-eyed cսnt should go, but you clearly have more faith in our squad than I do. I don't doubt that virtually any new manager would get a better tune out of our squad than Moyes does (they might even start by picking an eleven that stands a fucking chance) but I see a very tired and threadbare squad Even the most conservative fan would agree we need at least 8 players this summer, with replacements for Fabianski (39 this year), Ogbonna (36 this year), Coufal (given an extension rather than a new deal so clearly off), Zouma (broken), Cresswell (shit), Johnson (out of contract) plus at least one left sided forward and a centre forward. That's without considering the mistake-ridden Aguerd and the hot & cold Mavropanos or the likely departure of Pacqueta and the possibility of Kudus getting his head turned. It's very depressing"

"Will tell, Cross is a huge Arsenal fan In this case a self satisfying smug Arsenal fan It suits the media agenda to belittle us and out us in a box, go away and shut up. David Dein, now there's a proper football administrator, once said when asked who you fear the most, straight away said West Ham He said if we could click better off the pitch and synch with the football side we would be massive, the potential is all there, fanbase etc"

"Shearer: ""You know sometimes it's better the devil you know, I think,""ù Shearer said. ""Be careful what you wish for. ""They'll be hurting and they'll be hurting for a while after that performance and result. There will be a lot of anger around. ""As hard as it will be, try and look at the bigger picture with West Ham. They're in eighth position, and got that trophy. I'm not sure they can go any higher than where they are. ""They've spent their money really well that they had for Declan. I'm a fan and I know people will argue against him but I like Moyes. He's shown great character, he's been around the block and knows what he's doing. ""I think if they can park that result to one side and try to look at the bigger picture. I'm all for David Moyes.""ù"

"A few games back, I decided to give up watching WHU (for this season anyway). Absolute dross. I wouldn't mind it so bad if there was some fight in the players, but it seems there is not. Fornals gone, Cornet on the bench and we play Johnson on the wing. WTF is that all about? Also, we bring in Phillips on loan. Not match fit, probably take him until the end of the season to get up to speed and then he will go back to Man City. Are we lacking a leader on the pitch? at least Rice used to wave his arms about and take leadership. Not only do I blame Moyes for this god awful unentertaining football, but I also blame his team around him and most certainly lay the blame at the Directors door."

I can understand some managers if they are immediately available wanting to wait for preseason for next season (ie Potter) rather than come in now. I was mostly in favour of Moyes seeing out the season and then going but think its got to a point where he needs to go now. Agree I'd let Potts and Heitinga caretake for the rest of the season and give some of the kids a go while the new manager assesses the squad

If the manager TS wants is available now then get him in now. Let him have three months to get to know the players and we will be better for it next season. If not then either leave Moyes in post but make it clear there will be no new contract or appoint Steve Potts to work alongside Heitinga until the end of the season and let them introduce some young players... we are in a fortunate position that we don't need to worry about results. Just do what is best for the future.

The last time we heard all this careful what you wish for bollocks was during the dog days of the Allardyce reign Instead he was booted and in 2015/16 we had the best season in living memory for the farewell to Upton Park. Always being told we think we should be winning the League and Champions league. No West Ham fan ever has said that. Most just want to enjoy watching our team play something resembling football and have a go at being competitive

"Think i'd rather Scott Parker till end of the season over Slav The squad isn't as bad as people think, just Moyes has sunk the ship to the bottom of the sea. With a little bit of coaching, some tactics and styles of play injected into the side I am sure we'd see vast improvements. Not picking Soucek at all and not putting Johnson LM would already make us a different side. Get more of a tune out of Phillips, Coufal and Cornet and they are like 3 new signings. It's not as bad as people think, just Moyes has fucking ruined most of the squad"

"Trunds, Thing is, once Paqueta comes back, because he's world class, we'll pick up wins because he is the difference in the fucking disgusting, anti football system and set up we deploy, which will save the manager, get him his contract, Paqueta will be gone in the summer, and next season will be another wasted one. We had such a good chance to do something in this league, we could've moved on to the next level if we'd have sacked him when he should've been last October/November, a proper manager would've been able to identify exactly what we needed and made us a proper team. Shame."

"Maybe we're just better off leaving him in the post until the end of the season. His supports will find it difficult to find something positive by then, I reckon. We'd have tumbled down the league, and have the oldest and slowest squad in the league, with all of our better players desperate to leave. Let them judge him then."

"The idiots who comment and don't watch us have got the style of football thing completely wrong. No one is expecting us to play Kevin Keegan style 5-4 football. No one is saying we should be the great entertainers. What most of us want is to look like we can actually play some sort of fucking football. We are, easily, the worst team to watch in the league on a consistent basis. 2 years of that most could stomach, but it's too much. And it's also not the path to success. Sitting back, conceding barrel loads of shots, possession and being constantly under the pump, is not sustainable. Add the fact we have a few truly top class players on the books, have spent nearly £500mil on the squad, it's simply not acceptable. We are a crime to football, and the fact there are so many West Ham that just sit back and accept it, is fucking shameful"

"""But they do want more expansive football. With that comes risk and defeats, fewer guarantees of mid-table security but some memorable wins"" What a load of bollocks, can't believe people get paid to write such drivel Why does keeping the ball for longer than 3 or 4 passes and wanting to play through a midfield which don't include Soucek or Johnson LM mean we'll lose more? With the squad we have having more of the ball will mean better results not worse. Just seeing some forms of tactics and coaching out there would mean we win more"
