Re: Moyes Out
This 'great' season that we are supposedly having under 'OUR GREATEST EVER MANAGER' currently has us 4 points ahead of Gary O'Neil's WOLVES Can't ask for much more than that after 4 years and a £450m spend can you?

Re: Moyes Out
The throw in stuff is baffling! I've never seen a team have as many problems with throw ins as us. No one comes close because they either fear they can't control the ball or Moyes has told them to stay in a rigid position. Really odd.
Re: Moyes Out
"Our team roll the ball to each other which allows the opposition to nick it, Bournemouth and other teams pass with it with pace, usually all round us."

Re: Moyes Out
"It's a playing culture or anti playing culture. We don't seem capable of playing passes in triangles and keeping hold of the ball for any length of time. We get throw ins and no-one is moving. There never seems to be a midfield, the ball is treated like a hot ü•î. Soucek is likeliest to drop it so no-one passes to him."

Re: Moyes Out
"360 - Yea I saw that stat too, but we don't have enough to beat the likes of Bristol City and Sheffield Utd without Paqueta? of course we do, has to be more to this awful new low over recent weeks than one player missing, we can barely get over the halfway line. Anyway, let's see how we go today."

Re: Moyes Out
"Manuel I think some one said we hadn't won a game all season without Paqueta. So maybe that says everything about us. Also, we tend to lose without Alvarez. Personally I think Moyes has just become lazy. When he first came here he took some time but worked out some ways of getting the best out of a badly performing team. For example, doubling up with Arthur and Creswell was inspired. Moving Arnie to striker etc. now I think he isn't solving problems at all. Just relying on good players to bail him out."
Re: Moyes Out
"Well it's now pretty clear we're going to be subjected to this guy for the foreseeable future. As a TV fan, I guess it is what it is, but it's been noticeable at a personal level how the longer his tenure has gone on, the less effort I've made to make sure I'm in position to see the game each week. Obviously delighted the Club is well placed in the league, but Sullivan clearly has no interest in the product he's serving up. It's just become a game of safety, risk avoidance and money. No more 'daring to dream'. Our best chance of change it has to be accepted now is Sullivan getting a thread on the board announcing his demise."
Re: Moyes Out
"The thing that gets me is that Moyes sets up that way against everyone. I can see the logic in Arsenal' away and it worked""¶ I can enjoy that as a gritty backs to the wall performance but when he does that against Sheffield Utd and Bristol City then you have to ask what is the point!! I don't get this ""òbe careful what you wish for'""¶ if we were managed by practically any other manager in the PlL (one or two exceptions) we wouldn't be any worse off to where we are now and the vast majority would have us playing better football. A handful would have us on more points."

Re: Moyes Out
"Haha, if arsenal away is the Benchmark of us playing well then i surrender. Arsenal had 80% possess6, and the highest count of touches in an opposition box ever recorded in PL history, and even 20 shots on goal Marvelous stuff joyo, clearly a halfwit mong only watching scorelines"

Re: Moyes Out
"360 - Take your point but still think we're in a rut, we only had Paqueta missing on Thursday and looked like a pub side, we can't be that reliant on him it's fucking absurd. We had more than enough to beat Bristol City but couldn't barely lay a glove on them, twice."

Re: Moyes Out
I can barely contain myself at the thought of watching us playing a 1-2-7 formation...
Re: Moyes Out
"Playing on the break and beating teams away is not a bad set up if you have the pace, but playing the same at home and letting teams have 60, 70 or 80% possession is disgusting for 57000 season ticket holders and other fans. We have the players to attack but no one capable of coaching them. Still no striker on board, Bowen is far more effective in the right. Coufel returns today so Moyse will be able to put another defender in."
Re: Moyes Out
"""The problem we have is Moyes' system only works when you have excellent forwards."" Yep. Not only that. They also have to be able to create the chances for themselves, which is why strikers who've banged the goals in at every other club they've played at (Ings, Scamacca, Haller) fail miserably under Moyes as they get no service."

Re: Moyes Out
"Manuel The drop off in form is correlated with us missing our top players. And even then we've drawn rather than lost. We always play poorly as a team. Our form in terms of playing style, passing, ball retention etc has been the same all season. We just have those individual players that make the difference. That's why it baffles me when Moyes says we were poor. We are always poor! I can't see Chelsea beating Liverpool in any serious game. Liverpool have a system. You don't see massive drop off in performance even when he plays the kids."

Re: Moyes Out
"360 - Possible, but a bit optimistic, I think we are in a bit of a rut now. We have just taken two points from six against Sheff Utd and B'mouth, so form needs to improve quickly and we will probably require the likes of Newcastle and Chelsea to continue to underperform. We need Liverpool to beat Chelsea in the EFL final if we want the European spots to go down to 7th/8th."

Re: Moyes Out
"The problem we have is Moyes' system only works when you have excellent forwards. It's not really a ""system""ù in that it works well for whoever you put in it. The drop off in performance when key players aren't there is shocking. I think we'll get 7th or 8th and a euro place purely because we have the forwards and paqueta. And we are hard to play against because we are setup awkwardly. I think we play a bit like how Jose's Chelsea team played but without the ability to change to a flair team mid match. It's exactly what Jose did with Madrid and Inter. Just rugged defensive first football with enough at the top to get a win and rarely lose. Never liked this style. But I think the attractiveness for the board and some fans is that we are not a club that's laughed at anymore. People worry about us. I think that's a feeling that's becoming addictive for some. Regardless of how we get there."

Re: Moyes Out
"I can think of 3 games, first half against Wolves at home (we were average 2nd half, and got lucky with their cm offside goal) 2nd half at home to Forest last season, Bournemouth away last season. Apart from that, we haven't outplayed anyone that I can remember. We are a fucking disgraceful disgusting team, the whole world moved on from this horrendous 'football' years ago."
Re: Moyes Out
"""goose 11:32 Sun Feb 4 Re: Moyes Out Joyo there are so many that you can name 4, and most of those are 2 years old. You're not having arsenal. Sitting back for 90min and scoring from a corner isn't playing well. When was the last time we genuinely outplayed the other team?"" Wolves I think?"
Re: Moyes Out
Being for or against a manager is a subjective thing. Everyone has an opinion and once someone makes that feeling known they aren't allowed to change their mind. If fans are pro Moyes then that's fine by me. I had the privilege of watching Newcastle v Luton yesterday which finished 4-4. Two teams attacking the other and defending was an after thought. It was so far removed from all but occasional West Ham games that if Moyes gets another conttract.I'll stop bothering...
