Yeah, Duran's suspended. Lucky for us they didn't win their appeal.

We def have a chance and not just because of Potter coming in, Villa have been hit and miss of late and needed a late goal to see of Leicester last week, and will not see this as a priority. Villa are favourites though. All I'll predict is it will be a close game.
Isn't Duran still suspended or back now?

From what I gather, Potter prefers a 343 with two CAMs drifting wide rather than two wide players cutting in. Personally think this is a better idea as the typical 343 often ends up as 541 with the 2 CMs overrun in the middle of the park and the lone striker isolated.
I think if he does set up like this then he would want a right footed player on the right, so Summerville there rather than Kudus.
-------------------------Fabianski-----------------------------
-----------Wan Bissaka Mavropanos Kilman---------
Summerville------Alvarez-----Soucek-------Emerson
-----------------Kudus------------Paqueta------------------
-------------------------Fullkrug-------------------------------

Anyone's guess what happens here. Villa going to take this seriously? Potter bounce? Just glad Lop's gone as at least we can look forward with hope of a win.
For those going, where's the away pub?

Will be an interesting team selection. I dont think he'll go back three with one day on the training pitch but we'll see.
Duran is suspended, so that's good.
1 - 2 Summerville and Fullkrug.

So first game. Hard to make many predictions, but I will predict that Potter will go full strength and not 'rotate' and Villa will be somewhat weakend, so it's hard to predict (aside Duran inevitably scoring).
Score:
Villa 2:2 West Ham
Duran (2)
Fullkrug (1)
Soucek (1)
West Ham scrape through on penalties. COYI
Predicted Team:Fabianski
Wan Bissaka Mavropanos Kilman
Kudus Alvarez Soucek (c) Emerson
Paqueta Fullkrug Summerville
Subs: Areola, Casey, Coufal, Creswell, Soler, Irving, Guilherme, Ings, Scarles
