"""Be very careful what you wish for!"" the thickest quote ever used. most just wish for some decent football, where the players don't look like eleven random blokes. finding anyone was predicting relegation, especially who was coming up but you still typed it. cunts like you are wasting money going as you clearly haven't got a fucking clue what you're watching. log in to soccerway or livescores and watch the updates, as that's clearly all you care about"

Alf before the football haters point it out. Spurs manager is an Oz. Spurs fans are very happy

"I would like to hear a West Ham fan, with some intelligence, call into Talkshite's Simon Jordan or Jim White and ask them to confirm why, if they cite 3 European qualifications and conf cup win as the only reason why West Ham fans should be grateful and not want a manager change, does it not follow that not qualifying for Europe or getting a trophy is a failure this season and hence a reason to change? Apply their logic in reverse? Be interesting to see how they wriggle out of that and even throw in the question why is tye Greek fella at Spurs so much better than Conte if its only results and trophies that matter? Because it seems entertainment and attacking play is the reason cited for why Posteglegou is the second coming?"

"Nothing changes with you doom and gloom merchants I remember before the season most of you predicted we would go down or at best just stay up,but we are now in Feb sitting comfortably in 6th and still in Europe( unlike Chelsea,Spurs,Manure and Newcastle) Even if we win tomorrow the miserable pricks( most who don't even go to games) will claim its nothing to do with Moyes Be very careful what you wish for!"

"Can't see that Steve. The way this club is going to drop down the league Sullavan is not spending big money on Paq for that. He's not stupid and not the only investor in the club, they surely see what we do. The DOF is top class and will surely have a say"

"New 2 and a half year deal apparently Another 2 and a half years of the utter dross served up each week. 1 cup win will never change my mind. We as a football club are bigger than Moyes and Sullivan, we have outgrown them, they will hold us back and it will come back to bite us on the arse."

"Everything good has come through Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen. Very likely two of those three are fed up feeding off scraps and are outta here sooner or later and then ffuck knows what. We shirley have a huge summer to come transfer wise, and the club have to decide if it wants to stick or twist on Moyes. I really hope (but somehow doubt) they are sounding out potential replacements right now"

This boiled-eyed gargoyle's arrogance and record of wasting good players' time leads one to the inevitable conclusion he is much more interested in his standing with the sick English football establishment than in doing a proper job at this club. Beggar's belief the club is even talking to him.

"The media and ex players are not the brightest. They are like scoreboard fans who only look at the results and do not consider the long term sustainability of the manager's methods. Moyes is running a team not a squad. No big picture view for the club and paths for youth players etc. Steidten was brought in i guess for that? Moyes is about David Moyes and the here and now. He only knows one way for a team to play that is based on the same philiosophy as Mourinho and Conte and was successful 20 or 30 years ago to even win trophies. It will keep us out if the relegation conversations when backed up with good investment as we have seen. Even got us a 3rd tier trophy and day out But means a deep, static , low block and counter attacking or set pieces for goals. Hence no need for much pace or movement. Why he always goes for older experienced Prem players. Without Steidten, Newman or even Sullivan he would have a squad of 13 players that all looked like and played like centre backs. The image of himself as a plater. A man so insecure he wont change, not open to ideas. Its just a matter of time until we descend back down to mid table and no more European trips as other teams are progressing faster. We stand still at best."

Sorry to be pessimistic but am expecting us to finish around 10th & maybe as low as 12th The draw in the Europa will be crucial but you fear the first sight of a decent team will see us out Luckily last season we only met one decent team .... Fiorentina in the final

Haven't won a single game without paqueta. And don't look likely to. A useful window into what it will be like next season I suppose.

"Nagel 12:45 Sat Feb 3 I said that weeks ago. 6th was an outrageously false position. I'll be surprised if we end up top half. Up to now its been ""What else do you want? 6th in league, in FA Cup, in Europa League...."" Will be funny to hear all the worshippers come April. It will be ""What else do you want? We are 13th in the league....Ahem....I'll get my coat...."" And as they leave the building they'll be shouting ""But he did win our first trophy inm 40 odd years....!"

Next match moyes might play himself as an extra defender with Barry silkman up front and Sullivan in goal and media pundits and some of our spineless fans will still give the jockasauras a free pass

"I wouldn't start getting suicidal yet. Moyes said, ""We'll pick that up again in the next few weeks."" He ain't getting a contract right away, not after a 0% win rate in his last 5 games and getting dumped out of the FA cup to a lower league side. Next up is Man Utd and Arsenal, after which we will likely be down to 8th, 9th or maybe even 10th place within the next 9 days."

"The two fundamental problems, as we all know, are Moyes and Sullivan. Moyes is scared of progression and success because with that comes expectation and with expectation comes pressure. And Moyes doesn't like pressure. We've all seen his spiky reaction to 'probing' questions from journo's. And we've all seen his negative and stubborn reaction to criticism from fans. Moyes likes to be mid-table, being told he's doing a decent job by fans that have no ambition. Sullivan is also scared of progression and success because with that comes expectation and with expectation comes financing. And Sullivan doesn't like financing and he's not very good at it. For West Ham fans they are a match made in hell. Sullivan content to pick up annual PL money and do just enough to tick over. Moyes content with that and doesn't demand more. It's very clear that this window was simply about saving money. Stevethehammer has a theory its to prepare for next seasons project without Moyes. I think he may be giving the owners too much credit. I doubt there's any plan as they are too short sighted. Another Europa League campaign compromised and deliberately stunted due to lack of ambition and incompetency. But Moyes is happy with that because he doesn't want to win it as he's too scared of what that brings. Mr Mediocre would never dare to dream and do. And with such a lack of ambition from the club he already has his excuses set up around lack of squad depth, tired players, too many fixtures etc etc etc. We've heard it all before. And he has his cronies in the game, ex-players, journo's and pundits that worship him as some sort of Premier League fixture that demands upmost respect. He knows that those people protect him and tell us we are daft for demanding more. Sick of the man. He's a fraud."

We have only lost 1 in the last 10 league matches and that's what pundits and Moyes will use to back up the what more do they want? Reality of at times turgid football with players shoehorned into Moyes way of playing.

"You're right Vexed although it pains me to say it! However Max Hahn has joined us as Head of Technical Scouting - poached from Werder Bremen. This is clearly a Steidten appointment to support his new project for WH starting next season. There's likely going to be no way we appoint this 28 years old guy who has coaching badges and analyses players technical strengths and weaknesses then allow Moyes to decide he doesn't want the recommendations. That's my hope rather than expectation btw. But there have been persistent rumours that this is Sullivan's final year of involvement in transfers. He's mid 70s now so I think this is the rumoured project where Noble, Steidten with his new analyst and a new head coach replace Sullivan who stops being involved. Yes I know but if the board have decided it's the way it has to be maybe""¶. The big if is whether Steidten gets tempted by a Liverpool offer. If the board have agreed this project to take over from Sullivan acting as DOF then I don't see how Moyes would ever fit into a progressive project"

"Summer is going to be grim if they give Moyes a new contract. I'd imagine Paq, Kudus and Steidten will all be off. Suicidal decisions at the club."

"This morning I read with dismay Moyes answer to the press that now the window was over they would soon get on with discussing his new contract. I still have hopes that the discussion is that Moyes existing role no longer exists as they will appoint a head coach answerable to the DoF""¶. Would you like to be considered for that Dave?"

You'd like to think that if he gets another contract masses of fans wouldn't renew their season tickets. If 20000 odd done that Sullivan would choke on his caviar.

Where you heard that about his contract? Seemed to have gone completely dead from when it was mentioned 6 weeks ago. I'm hoping the one thing to come out of this shit show this month is the cսnt ain't staying.

Sounds like that contract is going to happen. Two more years of playing football without the ball.
