"On Prime, there is a Canadian police drama series called '19-2'. It's a decent police procedural, nothing earth shatteringly original. However, the first episode of the second series is remarkable. It's called 'School', and it's worth watching just that one episode. The team get called in to handle a school shooting. It is very well done."

Was kind of struggling to get into Watchmen for the first couple of episodes but episode 6 was absolutely incredible.

All about Watchmen and The Mandalorian at the moment. Damon Lindelhof throws the magic of the Leftovers at the non-superhero superhero saga and it's just brilliant. And Mando is a love letter to people that have had Star Wars in their life since the beginning. A completely different thing altogether but I recommend the self-contained three episodes of The Cockfields currently sitting on UKTV Play. A gentle (and subtly ungentle) sitcom from Joe Wilkinson which will feel very familiar if you're a fortysomething with your parents still around.

Manuel The first two series are on Netflix. I didn’t realise and watched the new one first. There’s only 8 of the old ones so do them first.

"""Question - Is Top Boy on Netflix worth watching if you haven't seen the first 2 series from way back?"" I think so. I enjoyed it far more than most of the shite people rave about. I watched the first two seasons again before hand though - they're only four episodes apiece"

"Plodded my way to the end of season 1 of Succession, still not convinced but it's not bad. The old man is easily the best character in it, love how he comes over as the top man and just tells people to 'fuck off' 'coz he can't be arsed to waste time and words on them. Also like the music/score. Question - Is Top Boy on Netflix worth watching if you haven't seen the first 2 series from way back?"

I’ve just started watching the second series of The End of the F***ing World. It’s easily on a par with Killing Eve but doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

Thanks for the recommendation of the Kominsky Method. Very nicely written and well acted dark comedy. I’m 4 episodes in already. I tried watching Manifest but has too give up. I found it pretty shit.

"Only dip in and out of this thread so it's probably been mentioned before but think Spiral is one of the best police/detective series made. The characters are really interesting and the acting excellent, if one of the characters has got a flaw or something going on in their lives, it's hinted at and you see it in their actions, rather than it being dwelt on and rammed in your face like other series. Also like the way that in each series there are a number of cases and things going on simultaneously and sometimes it's confusing and you don't at first understand all the characters motives, and sometimes even at the conclusions you still don't fully get their motives - but that's what it's like in the real world...it's never all black and white, easily explained and everything ending in a neat conclusion.....spiral captures all that really well."
