Recruiting players is part of his job. If those players you listed are the reason we're winning then that is down to Moyes. Stay off football threads Pickle you dimwit.

"Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus, Alvarez, Emerson - read those names and accept they are why we are 6th. Moyes is a very lucky boy and we can look forward to great things."

"It's mental that some posters cannot comprehend that you can praise AND criticise a manager. They're so desperate to point score that all nuance is lost. Result today was good, the result Wednesday was shit. If you wanna start talking about performance then it becomes subjective."

"When a manager tries to take the piss out of and belittle the club, I don't think it matters where you finish - the writing is already on the wall. Most who go seem to have had enough of this arrogant arsehole from what I could gather. It's a moot point though, we won't finish top 6. Probably not even top 8. His negative tactics will see to that. Be careful not to get carried away beating this Man Utd team - they have failed to score in 7 of 18 games this season and lost 8 of them including being pumped 3-0 by Bournemouth recently."

fraser 7:53 Sat Dec 23 Re: Moyes Out Only rest find that out at the end of the season. If we finish to six does that justify it? What about top 4? Wasn't a potential fifth place spot in the champions league there for England or did that end with Newcastle and Man U crashing out?

It's always good to beat Man Utd but that's based on their history. Today they are shit but completed more than twice our passes and possession stats. They were trying to win by playing football while we defend and hope for a sucker punch knockout blow. I know stats don't win games but they do show that we heavily rely on Paqueta to put Bowen and Kudus through on goal. Moyesball is working until we meet teams that play Dycheball or similar. Moyes can't coach attacking football which is why he values Soucek who blocks and wins headers.

"Wow. Brazen couple of glances right down the lens in the post-match interview. ""I don't think we could have won today if we'd played all the players midweek""ù Dave, Dave, Dave. Don't do that. It doesn't endear you to anyone."

"I'm a big advocate of Moyes out at the end of the season. That was a good win today but for the first 70 minutes it was same old Moyes and the poor crowd were bored silly. It took him until then to move Paq to a central position and from then on we were a different team. Unless he can change his ways, players in their preferred position, making a few changes, stop picking his favourites and winning games with a bit of style then I think at contract end it will be a good time to replace."

To be fair when I accused some of the Moyes haters as being emotional and irrational I'd never thought of the Antifa angle.

I've never been on the Moyes out bandwagon and it's obvious he isn't going anywhere for this season at least. Saying that I understand the hate aimed at him. The Anfield massacre was a disgusting surrender. It certainly got my attention.
