"Moyes isn't going to be sacked when we are still in the top 10 and still in Europe. Whether people like it or not, baring a complete collapse in the league he is going to be here until the end of the season. It's the fans at the matches that need to make their feelings known if they are unhappy. A few hundred online/on forums isn't going to make a difference. As far as yesterday goes he made a big fuck up. I said it after the draw was made and still maintain it now that the chance of us knocking Liverpool out the cup at Anfield even with a full strength team was minimal. However as many have quite rightly said, it's the Quarter finals of a cup and 6k fans have spent money to make the long journey up there just before Christmas hoping to see us at least give it a go with our best team. Even if it's only a 10 percent chance of winning we should still be going for it. As a West Ham supporter I know I will never get to witness us win the league so the Cups should be everything to us. I would rather win the League Cup and finish 16th in the league than finish 6th in the league."

I'm sick of the negative Moyes comments. By that I mean the negative idiots who think we should be thankful to him for where we are. The ones who think we'll struggle to get better the ones who were lucky to have him or that we should be careful what we wish for because we've had worse in the past. Have some pride you negative twonks. You're like a battered wife thanking her husband for only bashing two teeth out instead of her previous husband who knocked out four.

"NS - I know exactly what you mean, fella! I'm not a huge fan of Moyes, never have been, but I'm always checking over my WHO shoulder in case any faint praise gets misinterpreted and I'm suddenly bundled into a giant wicker man and set alight!"

It won't cost millions to sack Moyes he's only got 6 months left. Also no one seems to want Gold's shares.

"I'm with COYI and Camel on this one. We can bleat on all we like about not wanting Moyes to manage the club but it will do not one ounce of good. Sullivan is not going to risk sacking the bloke (paying millions in compensation) and not being able to get who we really need in charge. There's no doubt in my mind he will be gone in the summer and by then the Genius German will have scouted some quality players and hopefully a bloody good coach. Singing out loud at our home games 'You're fucking shit' etc is hardly going to get those quality players we have got here to stay when the change eventually happens. Fuck Moyes, get behind the team and let's get this season over and done with and move onto the next stage. My money is on whoever is buying Golds shares is also having a say in what's about to happen in the summer."

"If you take Moyes first game the qf against Arsenal and last night, the only difference is the score line due to Arsenal's reserves not being as good as Liverpool's. Same dire, afraid and tepid football. Which tells me we haven't really moved anywhere under his tenure when it comes to playing in cup competitions domestically. Kind of makes the fa cup pretty much a waste of time too. Still, we're in with a shout of a CL spot according to him""¶.."

"I agree Moyes won't be getting the sack any time soon but he deserves a lot of criticism for what just happened at Anfield. What a pathetic effort from him and his entire squad""¶""¶ It needs exposure. These type of soft, pathetic lay down performances need to stop immediately."

Don't think I can defend him today after that insulting interview he made after the match .

"Surely Sullivan must take some action after Moyes' stance on that game as confirmed by his pre and post match comments, which were so blatantly ''fuck you all''. Do the right thing for once you sad excuse for a chairman"

Agreed camel. There is no way on Earth Moyes will be sacked before the end of the season given where we are in the league and the fact we are still in the Europa League. Lock this thread.

"If it's any consolation (it won't be), I genuinely think this is his last season as West Ham boss. Out of contract in the summer with discontent still lingering - and, by his own implicit admission, he thinks we're not capable of going further (we are). Plus, within the cap-doffing elements of the game, he's held in high regard because of the trophy win last season. Which means he'll have a market value in the summer and will receive a big offer (possibly from the Saudi league where, let's face it, even the likes of Gerrard are making a fortune?)."

"Sack Moyes? We are eighth in the league, playing European football - even if the football is dour. People are insane. Review his contract at the end of the season. That is the time to make a decision."

"Shocking line up, performance and post match comments from the dour, dinosaur JOCKOSAURUS cսnt. We all know how this will pan out. We will now go on a dreadful run of form and lose at home to Manchester United and away Arsenal in our next two league games (how could we possibly get results against such glamorous opposition). We will then lose at home to Brighton on 2 January to make it four defeats on the spin. Questions will start to be asked about Moyes' position, but he will then get a win at home against Bristol City in the FA Cup and he will plod on."

"As has already been said repeatedly, it's not about winning or losing, it's the manner and approach to games. When we lose more often than not we deserve to, and when we win (aside from some slick and well executed moments of play), the match ALWAYS feels in the oppositions favour. So you're either left feeling that the loss is justified or the win is never really deserved. Some seem to get a kick out of smash and grab victories like the one against spurs the other week. I got zero satisfaction from it. Didn't message my Spurs supporting mates to gloat because really, what was there to gloat about? 'm sick of Moyes and can't wait to see a progressive manager working with this squad. My only worry is that there will be none of them left by the time he goes."

"You hear things like: ""West Ham have never had it so good"" ""7th in the league and playing in Europe"" ""3 years in a row in Europe"" He actually concluded all that by saying, ""I don't think it gets any better than that for West Ham."" In other words know your place, be grateful and stop moaning. If he is just going on the result or headline piece without any additional context, I am sure he would agree that with only one league win in 34 years, Liverpool fans should be grateful to be finishing in the top 4 or 6 most seasons and shouldn't get ideas above their station expecting to win league titles anymore. He'll surely concede that it doesn't get any better than this for Liverpool fans now. The 80's have long since passed."

As stated on here am neither a MOYES OUT or a MOYES IN... as stated before never wanted him first time and especially second time around... however as stated I am happy he has proven me wrong and brought some stability and more importantly some silverware... was happy to back him as always thought he'd give the fans something to grab hold of with the Cups and more often that not put out a team to get a result... so yeah I'll praise him for that... which makes last night all the more unacceptable... so yeah I am happy to put the boot in on that team he stuck out last night (would have much rather players getting a rest at the weekend) ... we could have had a real go at them last night... instead it was the biggest surrender since the Italians went all resa in Libya in 1941... he still has masses of credit but more nights like last night will only add to the sales of pitch forks to the MO brigade.. massive opportunity missed

"""We've just come off the back of winning 7 out of 9"" This is the sort of thing the media and opposition fans see and then criticise West Ham fans for having a moan. They obviously don't watch the games in full which even in victory can be extremely dire to watch as we all know. I would love to know what the players personally felt about the line up. Surely the likes of Paqueta and JWP want to play a Cup Quarter Final at Anfield and Bowen must want the best players behind him to create chances. I'm not saying we would have won giving the history of our record at Anfield but when you are mid table in the PL with a chance of a cup semi final surely you try and get there by putting your best team out."
