"Stubbo 11:10 Tue Dec 12 Been saying it since the first time he was shunted out there, it's an absolute fucking disgrace that we had the form central midfielder in the league and the manager has done that. I cannot believe more has not been made of it, how the fuck hasn't he been questioned on it in his press conferences? It might be the singular worst decision a manager has made on a players position I can remember at the club. If he's lacking in anything as a footballer it's the ability to drive forward at pace, exactly what you want in a winger, it defies logic that firstly he's done it, but then some of our fans are getting on the player's back. There is so much wrong with this fucking dinosaur manager, but that more than anything stands out to me as a decision that is unforgivable. Anyone blaming the player, properly step back and look at it, playing your most talented player in a position he doesn't suit, when he was the PL form player in his natural position. It's beyond fucking madness."

"This is what gets me more than anything. Giving basically a free role to our worst player in Soucek. He talks about tiredness but he's flogging Soucek to death as usual, the bloke was so far off the pace against Fulham and Spurs he barely seems to touch the ball aside from the odd defensive header. Reminds me of Allardyce with Nolan towards the end changing the formation that was working with downing in the middle to accommodate his mate coming back from injury, these managers too stubborn for their own good"

"What he's done with Paqueta is criminal. After a month of the season the guy was top of the tackling, ball recovery and I believe also on the of offensive/creativity stats from a central position. What does Moyes do...move one of the best central midfielders in the league, coveted by City and Guardiola as their replacement for De Bruyne (!) Out to the left flank to accommodate a couple of frankly bang average clodders in JWP and Soucek. He should have been building a team around the bloke that plays through him at every opportunity...instead he shunts him to a peripheral role. In the side. It's frankly insane and the bloke needs his head examining."

"Sir Alf 6:41 Tue Dec 12 Do we trust Moyes? I don't. Is he honest? No, I think he's a bullshitter. I'm sick and tired of the bollocks he spouts to cover his arse. Just off the top of my head: Can't integrate a player into the team Moyes: He's still settling in. It's a big move. He's finding his feet. Too afraid to play a young talent. Moyes: He's still young. We don't want to rush him. He's finding his feet. Plays players out of position. Moyes: We're trying different approaches and formations. Trying to get the best out of the squad. Can't get transfer targets in as too slow: Moyes: We're trying. We're in for them. It's a difficult market right now. You can't be taken advantage of. Players play dogshit and get tonked: Moyes: I think there's some tiredness creeping in. It's a busy schedule. Playing so many games at the moment. Go on a run of losses. Moyes: It's something we need to address. we must be better. But, we're mid-table and have been in Europe last few years so it's not too bad. Skilful and talented player doesn't play well. Moyes: He's got to do the tough work at the other end. The running and the ugly stuff. So bored of it all now. Bloke grates me."

"I see where you're coming from, stepney. Is being a football manager the only job where you get paid more for being shit at your job? If you're shit, you get your contract paid up, and you will quite likely (if you're on the managerial merry-go-round) walk into another job in the not too distant future. Rinse, and repeat."

Lee Trundle 12:06 Tue Dec 12 Or at least put yourself in the frame for a decent job after. To be fair if your employer has made their mind up you're going I get why you wouldn't be that arsed about the job you're in. If it were me I'd just be looking at what's next was and trying to get the best exit for myself. This feels very similar to the last season of Allardyce and I'd not be shocked if the form goes the same way as it did then in the second half of the season.

"bell 11:47 Tue Dec 12 Remember Pellegrini at Man City? In early Feb it was made known that Pep was going to be taking over in the summer. Man City won just 5 times in the 14 games after that point, gifting the title to Leicester."

"The midfield was the root cause and t combined with our back line being exposed and making fundamental errors. Moyes is the architect though imo. He has to sell Rice not his fault. Fortunately Steidten brings in Alvarez. Moyes brings in JWP and gets rid of Downes. Alvarez not available so no CDM. He moves Paqueta wide left and he has been best centrally and helping out in midfield tackling / challenging/ pressing. JWP was at Southampton more of an number 8 like Paqueta but not famed for his defensive qualities like tackling and interceptions and pressing. Moyes puts Soucek and JWP at the base of his block and an admittedly sloppy Paqueta wide left. Surprise surprise, he plays his usual sit deep, stay narrow, keep the shape tactic but Fulham are able to easily pass and move their way around us. Even Frank McAvennie was asking why Soucek was played as a CDM with JWP who is not a CDM and Paqueta as a wide man. Tbh Paqueta ain't a CDM either but as mentioned is the best of that bunch at pressing and getting the ball. Getting rid of Downes left us short in this area and some say, like in the case of Cornet, Moyes bloody mindedness to show he never wanted him. Classic ""cut yer nose to spite yer face""ù of a man insecure man who puts self interest and ego above what's best for the team."

"I can't believe that anyone watching us surrender possession and allowing multiple shots on our goal all season wouldn't think we would end up like we did Sunday... But not only that, but not believe others could see it coming... Some people really are as thick as fucking shit.. It will happen again too.."

"Do we trust Moyes? Is he honest? His explanation that a virus has hit the team and club, giving players days off from training at Rush Green? Is that and the scheduling comment a massive deflection and attempt to exaggerate the illness ? How many players were feeling ill really? Alvarez, Emerson and Fornals we are told or rumours suggest that. Or was he correct and it played a huge part in what was a really worrying performance where we looked far inferior to Fulham as a football team? I'm bias so not the best judge. But it really comes down to that and whether Sullivan, Steidten believe him or know first hand that he is being truthful because alarm bells would have been already ringing if they had been watching our performance as a team for the last few months. Results don't always tell the full story unless they are achieved over a long period imo. Pundits we all are guilty of reaching conclusions too early. Bournemouth for example and their manager. We all wanted him to fail as we thought ONeil was treated harshly. He's doing a lot better now. It takes 18 months to know. And Moyes teams performances in the league were decent , as were results first 18 months ( COVID season etc) and then poor the next 18 months to end of last season. This season has yet to play out. We look poor again recently despite a few decent results but the next month will be pivotal. Will we pick up both in how we are playing and results ? I suspect not but we are about to see"
