This is a great addition.
The Biden thread only has about 20 posts visible for me now!
My God the constant bickering and point scoring is tiresome.

So I can see how to show the quote, how do I add my drivel in response?
Just click/tap below the section with the grey bar next to it, and type there in the reply window.

- Reply to post, &
- Reply to thread?
This is already done (a reply to thread button on the individual post):
There are two buttons.
1. Reply Button (the back facing arrow) (this just adds a new post at the top of the thread. Any referencing to another poster is done manually.
2. Quote Button (the Quote marks button). This copies the content of the post you're replying to into your message so someone can see the reply is directly related to what someone else said.
The reply button was new in response ot the previous feeback to avoid having to scroll to the top of the thread.

Maybe I'l change the terminology to 'Mates' and 'Cunts'. Might resonate better.
Indistinguishable on here, tbf.

Basically Friends is like adding them to a 'contacts' list for when doing WHO Mail.
Foes is a way to block all of their posts displaying to you.

Just checking.
Re: New WHO | Site Feedback
I love the new Look and Feel of the site and it seems to work much smoother.
I agree with the increase in size of the usernames on each post to as that will help to identify who is saying what. Currently the username does seem to get lost in all the other wording. I thought the mock up you created looked really good and think that would be a big improvement.
Big thanks and well done to all involved in creating the new site and the migration across from the old one. We live on!!!

Yes, I see your point, in fact it crossed my own mind. It's probably quite a lot of work anyway.

Surf - The issue also with your idea is what if you didn't want to reference/quote a particular post, you would then have to scroll to the top of a thread each time to put a new post up that wasn't referencing a particular post in the thread.

Re: New WHO | Site Feedback
Surf - I know what you mean, on the old WHO it was a lot more simplistic where you would press on any reply button down the thread to put up a new post, but on here it does feel like you are interacting more with an individual poster, unless you scroll to the top of each thread and press on the main reply button. Even if what you are requesting can be done my point will still be valid.

Re: New WHO | Site Feedback
Hopefully a sensible criticism/request.
Is it possible to arrange it so that if you click the reply button on a post, some sort of reference to that post is placed in that reply.

Seeing the boring politics thread at the top of the messageboard is a huge turn off for me.
I'll look into it. It's not an easy thing to do and when we were migrating there wasn't a perfect solution. This is the most full featured board out there, and wasn't a simple way to have all posts in one place, and be able to post to 'All' but categorise at the time of posting....it's all based on first navigating to the right place to post, and then posting (and we tried to work on the basis of keep it simple where possible). Adding sub-forums etc adds user complexity and admin overhead.
Ideally we'd have a way of catgorising at the point of creating a new post, and then be able to filer based on category but the board doesn't work that way. Let me see what I can find to get close to this.
