"Manuel - really don't see the problem: I said a couple of weeks ago there were strong rumours Bayern/Tuchel were talking about him staying. Then that there were talks at the club. It was long after Tuchel first announced he was leaving. Turns out there were talks about him staying: as everybody has now confirmed. Obviously, he's decided to leave anyway. I didn't have the foggiest how the talks would pan out: wasn't sat in the room with them. Bayern not giving him promises about transfers is a bit of a surprise (given they know they have to close the gap on Leverkusen), and might be a slight hindrance to other potential managers. Although it is Bayern - they will land a decent name anyway. Personally, I think he'd do a decent job at Man Utd. Unfortunately, as I hate them. So I'm hoping he doesn't go there."

"Just thought it was funny that Southbank was giving it large, reminding us all of what he said a few weeks ago and thought he might have been onto something, but as it turns out he wrongly believed what he read in the press, which is very ironic."

Supposedly Tuchel wanted guarantees on a couple of signings to stay at Bayern Also that he wants to be available if Manchester Utd call Presume he will be supporting Man City in the FA Cup final hoping they smash Man U 6-0

Believe the 1978 World Cup was SO bad that Ally Macleod changed his name to Allie MacClaud afterwards He was asked before Scotland set off 'What do you plan to do after the World Cup?' and he said 'RETAIN IT'

"Got a soft spot for Scotland ever since the 1978 World Cup, Allie MacClaud and Archie Gemmill. They don't deserve Moyes."

Scotland job would be ideal for Moyes. Limited resources. Relying on a few stalwarts. Plucky losers. Low expectation. No transfers to manage. Achieving above expectation will be greeted with a statue. About his level.

Have always said international manager is a part time job for a manager later in his career and Scotland would be ideal for Moyes if Clarke goes into club management Always wonder what Southgate does in the period after England's usual routine qualification A couple of friendlies and free tickets to the best Premier league games with a nice lunch laid on He probably knew 23 of his 26 man squad 6 months ago so not busy at all

"Btw, I posted on here a couple of weeks ago that strong rumours were emerging that Tuchel might stay at Bayern. A couple of folk trashed it. Today...more headlines in UK and German media about Tuchel and the board in Munich having further talks. No idea what he will decide to do. But unless Man Utd come in for him - which is a decent chance - then I can see him staying in Munich as an option. He's asking Bayern's board to back him with extra transfers. They'll find the money, of course. I mention this only because of that mad rumour about Lopetegui being on Bayern's shortlist. Hence the tenuous link to our lot."

"I agree on some levels - Moyes could probably do a decent job as Scotland's manager. He'll have them organised (as Clarke has) and will be comfortable managing an international side that will not be expecting to have much of the ball in games against 'bigger' sides. So his counter-attacking style will suit a team that will be underdogs against many teams. His problem will be creating a decent and positive environment for the players to go to when they join up with the national side. As we know from his time at West Ham, he can be notoriously critical of his club players - Griff wrote some incisive posts about this last season - and relentlessly focused on weaknesses. Squad players will not like turning up to a Moyes camp, getting trashed with negative, dour analysis all day, not playing, and then going back to their clubs. International football is prestigious, but voluntary. I could see some players not wanting to join up with Moyes after a few negative experiences. So he'd need to calm that down. Footballers are a little more delicate these days, and often very wealthy. Marginal national squad players might think 'fuck him, he's not worth playing for'. One of the things Southgate has got right with England, generally, is creating a supportive environment for modern snowflakes."

Moyes next job . Will be the Scottish job . Steve Clarke is to good a manager to be confined to that . Moyes will do a great job for them. Way better suited to international football.

"Oh and just because he holds a couple of records from a number of seasons ago doesn't mean we have to put up with his shit style of play or his total inability to nurture youth or develop a squad... But then those limitations are completely and constantly overlooked by the Moyes In brigade... just for once explain whilst not mentioning the trophy win or the 2 seasons where we all agree he was excellent, why Moyes should be kept referencing his squad management and run in the premier league over the last 16 months...."

"Billy, I am only responding to the idiots that still come on here to slag Moyes and West Ham off. Moyes is out, let it go. Be happy you have J LO to crucify next. I will as usual get behind the team and manager. What is obvious is that some cunts won't stop the slagging even now that Moyes is out. We fucking all know how much you hate Moyes even though he was our most succesful manager since Lyall. I agree move on ffs! Every thread is the same posters posting the same bollocks and it's always negative. Give it a rest ffs!"

"Nutsack Why are you on here... it seems only to defend Moyes inspite of the facts and that everyone agrees he has to go... you need to leave let it go..... you are the one constantly popping your head up with the same old crap.. ""hes got record points record unbeaten run""... I agree with you he had 2 good seasons, the record European run is great until you factor in the that all previous qualifications in Europe were knockout competitions from West Ham perspective and Europa and ECL leagues are at a much higher standard so clubs playing in those leagues are far more likely to lose the odd game so not comparing like for like.... but you come back with abuse for absolutley no reason... was I calling you out, no, but you just cant help yourself..."

The most pathetic thing on here is the playground level insults and name calling. So much for a grown up debate - we're all supporters of the same team!
