Pakistan win the toss & BAT hoping the pitch will fall apart later
5 overs from the seamers & the spinners are on already
Wicket for Leach

Second Test also at Multan
Pitch was starting to crack towards the end so Pakistan have decided to water it and use it again
Starting with a cracked pitch so expect lower scores & help for spinners
Stokes fit & the Pakistan selection panel have dropped Babar Azam who hasn’t scored a Test 50 since Dec 2022. Still their best batsman & against the wishes of the coach Jason Gillespie

England win by an innings and 47 runs

Absolutely outrageous scoring.

Mental is what it’s about
Chase 800 runs around & then go and bat with a fried brain
Its all about applying some mental disintegration to a team that expects to lose

They go again at the same venue for the 2nd Test next Tuesday

Mental. 1300 runs or something combined in the first innings and now 40-4. A seemingly nailed on draw looks like it could be done in 4.5 days.

Very flat wicket but quick scoring means England have almost 40 overs tonight to bowl at players who have spent a couple of days chasing balls in very hot conditions
Then get to come back fresh tomorrow
Watched a bit this morning & wicket not really deteriorating at all

Pakistan haven’t won any of their last 10 home Tests over the last 3 1/2 years and just got whitewashed by Bangladesh
At a very low ebb & wouldn’t surprise if they fall apart if England keep them out in the field for another half day & lead by near 200

Kallis averaged 55, took 292 Test wickets & 200 catches
Useful

Kallis is the one that stands out, given he was an all-rounder

Root past Sir A Cook as Englands leading Test run scorer

Now 5th in all time list
Tendulkar 15,921
Ponting 13,378
Kallis 13,289
Dravid 13,288
Root 12,488

As if entirely likely he plays another 4 years he should catch Tendulkar

England chipping away with a couple of wickets in the morning
Pakistan will need at least 500 to feel even in a half decent position on an easy pitch

Amused by the article on the BBC website about the utter mystery of the number of dropped catches at the Womens t20 World Cup
Understand 62 catches had been taken and 35 (THIRTY FIVE) dropped
All sorts of reasons ... the floodlights, the weather etc etc. No mention of the players being shit
No comments allowed on the article obviously
Ha ha ha
