Re: Moyes Out
"Sorry mate, we have just beaten Chelsea and Brighton 3-1 when most thought we'd get stuffed in both, we are top of the league, yet you are still moaning. Come on, son. I dread to think what you're going to be saying once we lose a game, it won't be on Friday though, so you have a while to wait :-) By the way as I said before I do not believe we will have these low possession stats all season, not saying it will change drastically as we are very likely to always be a counter attacking side under Moyes, but we have have played two good sides in Chelsea and Brighton and the window isn't finished yet, so his ideal side isn't in place yet, plus even after yesterdays game he said we need to change how we play a bit, as he has said previously, so let's see. I'm quite sure we will have a lot more of the ball at Luton."

Re: Moyes Out
"Moyes admits in his latest interview what I posted yesterday. Over the moon for the result, but the football must be better. Our squad is getting better with Steidten onboard, and it's no good reason to defend a game for 90 minutes. Moyes hasn't changed, he will defend and counter. Just look at the Antonio/Kehrer sub. It should be Antonio/Mubama! Great result, shit football. Moyes out, thanks!"
Re: Moyes Out
"As others mention, the ability to ""play thru the press""ù needs to improve for us to keep the ball better and get those possession stats up and create more chances. We are not coached to do it or just can't? It's mostly the former imo. Sitting deep and staying in a strict narrow shape by definition will make it difficult to retain the ball. You need lots of movement and the whole team being comfortable in possession and good passers of the ball""ù So a classic ""chicken and egg""ù at play too as we have a few players not proficient enough technically, namely, Coufal, Zouma, Oggy ( yesterday) , Soucek and of course Antonio. Bowen, Benny and others like Ings are wasteful too with their passing. But like I say it's not coached, with teams that are good at it we are instructed to set up deep, keep narrow and stop them play thru us. I don't think you can get results consistently over multiple seasons with possession down near 20% but Leicester and others show it can be effective. Let's see what happens against Luton and as we introduce better technicians up front and in midfield ( Kudus). A balance is needed and keeping and getting the ball needs to improve. If we could getnear 40% it would be far more palatable and better to watch. Against the best teams it's always harder of course but we have to try and improve this aspect of our play."

Re: Moyes Out
"Manuel 4:34 Sun Aug 27 It's my opinion on our style of football. Do you want everyone to just agree on absolutely everything? I have no problem with people who enjoy watching their team play like that, I'm happy for anyone that does. For me, it's football of limited ambition, I think you have to heavily rely on luck for it to work, and our luck will run out if we're defending on our 18 yard line all season. You seem to think you are judge and jury son, analysing people based on football chat. We all know where you are and why you're there, son. Let's not get personal."

Re: Moyes Out
"Last season was dire at times but lets not forget the 2 seasons before that we played well at times and qualified for Europe. Only 3 games in but you just get the feeling we will be back to those seasons under Moyes of bagging a European spot....hopefully....... Credit were its due to Moyes and a cunting as well at times!!! But he is the most successful manger we have had in the PL era, 6th,7th and 14th plus a Cup win and a Europa semifinal but it aint been pretty at times and i think that the biggest criticism."

"I'm not moaning, I'm just discussing football on a football forum. 'Of course they were against the run of play you daft sod, we were defending against a possession based side' 'As for ''out of the blue'' what does that even mean' So it was against the run of play, but not out of the blue? Ok."

Re: Moyes Out
"Great analysis. Of course they were against the run of play you daft sod, we were defending against a possession based side and were trying to counter and score on the break, which is exactly what happened. As for ''out of the blue'' what does that even mean. And the first goal wasn't a gifted fluke at all, there was still work to do. Quit your moaning and go to bed, fella. You are spouting utter fucking nonsense."

Re: Moyes Out
No they weren't. The first was a gifted fluke. The two others were very well taken but out of the blue and against the run of play. We got overrun and outplayed for the overwhelming majoritty of the game.

"Jaan Kenbrovin 5:24 Sun Aug 27 ''Nothing about our play is great other than capatilising on mistakes and set pieces.'' You obviously didn't see the game yesterday, so let me tell you ALL 3 of our goals were well worked. Could have easily had a couple more too on the break after carving them apart. Maybe you should watch games before presenting us all with your wisdom."

Re: Moyes Out
"We've managed to get 6 points from games where we were on the ropes for an overwhelming majority of game time. Nothing about our play is great other than capatilising on mistakes and set pieces. This will dry up and we'll be on the receiving end of an alarming drubbing soon. It's great getting wins playing shit, but it's nothing in comparison to dominating games and winning. We've become the club everyone hates about football."

Re: Moyes Out
Is it an effective tactic over the course of the season? We seem to be able to carve out a reasonable amount of chances for limited possession and we've taken a few of them in the past few games. If we can get that 20% up to 40% then it should be sustainable and qualm the high-pitched wailing from the like of ED.

"ED - You have just become a rambling bore on here now, which is a bit of pity, albeit in the grand scheme of things it matters fuck all of course. But you have dug yourself such a hole now so your whole posting style for the rest of the season will be to come out all guns blazing when we lose and when we win it will be stuff like our style is shit, we play like Stoke, it's a crime to football etc. All very sad, cliched and predictable."

Re: Moyes Out
"We're definitely going to have to add another dimension to our play. Brighton showed that we are still liable to concede when super-negative while if we'd had a possession/high press option, we'd have been out of sight. Can't go all season without a more positive approach - that is why Moyes can't stay as the old Moyes."
Re: Moyes Out
"I agree with a lot of the criticism thrown at Moyes but it's only fair to give him credit when he gets things right, which he certainly has over the past two games. I'd also rather 3 hard earned points playing Moyesball than fuck all playing tippy tappy but entertaining football. If it's guaranteed entertainment you want go and see a West End musical."

Re: Moyes Out
"I stand by every word I've said Ray, I think the way we play is a crime to football. The fact that it has cost the best part of half a billion quid under this managers to have 20% of the fucking football (the game is called FOOTBALL ffs) is absolutely outrageous, but it will appease the simpletons while we're winning. Will Areola be able to produce superhuman heroics every game? Very doubtful. But as I said on another thread, I'll join the ride whilst we are winning because I'm West Ham. I detest the way we play, I think it's embarrassing to be honest. We can never, ever call out another team for the way they play. From now on, the famous quote can no longer be labelled at Stoke, it's 'but can he do it away to West Ham on a Tuesday night'. We are THAT team. A dirty, horrible, non-football shithouse team that cost circa £500mil. Time to embrace it."

Re: Moyes Out
"Why would I be gutted Ray? We're still a fucking appalling football team, but we're winning for now. We can't keep relying on our keeper to be MOTM every game, but let's ride it for now. The only thing I'm truly gutted about is listening to 30 seconds of one of your songs. That will haunt me forever."

Re: Moyes Out
Still slagging off the owners and the manger just a couple of hours after a great win. Bet it really spoilt your day with us winning don't worry he will go one day so keep hoping & praying we loose 10 in a row soon as possible so called hammers fans -bloody embarrassment to the club and this site.
Re: Moyes Out
Got to laugh at some people on here. We won't get any points from the first 4or 5 games. Brighton will tonk us. Moyes will get us religated.
