Re: Moyes Out
"IF it is true that Amorim has flown to London to see West Ham (and probably Liverpool, too), then the decision has probably been made to move on from Moyes regardless. It would take the PR man to end all PR men to explain that to fans if Moyes ends up staying. Imagine openly courting Sporting Lisbon's manager and then trying to fob us off with two more years of Dino the Dinosaur afterwards? So even if we don't land Amorim, but we do speak to him, Moyes is most likely gone this summer. I still expect Graham Potter to get found at the bottom of a locked drawer somewhere."

Re: Moyes Out
"West Ham are in talks with Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim over an ambitious move should David Moyes leaves the club. Amorim is the current top target, however the Hammers are unclear where they sit among the 39 year old's options.. ""¢ David Ornstein, The Athletic Now that's more fucking like it, if true! If the Club managed to pull that coup off getting Amorim then that gives us every chance to seeing much better Football and results. He's a quality manager. Hopefully some real positive news on a managerial change, for a change."
Re: Moyes Out
"Its possible the contract has been offered but with less favorable terms. Maybe less money, no control over transfers or he could be dimissed for no payout if the club are in the bottom 3/5/7. If it was offered in December maybe Moyes' ego was thinking i can get myself a better deal by finishing top 6 and a stong showing in the Europa. Why he would shoot himself in the foot by knocking back players in Jan seems slightly baffling if that was the case"

Re: Moyes Out
"Contracts have clauses and hopefully this one has this written on the front ""Only to be opened if West Ham qualify for Europe or make material progress on the football pitch in 2023/24 season""ù. Cheerio Dave."
Re: Moyes Out
"The new contract is obviously bullshit and has only come from Moyes... I don't think anyone at the club has mentioned it so slightly bizarre that they have let Moyes spout rubbish about it. It's obviously his way of saving face though he ends up looking ridiculous. If he had been offered one then obviously he would sign it, why wouldn't you but there is no way Sullivan has done that, it would make him the most stupid person in the whole wide world."
Re: Moyes Out
"All that's ever been said about this contract offer by Moyes or the board was one press conference, in which Moyes said: ""There's a contract there for me. I'm the one deciding I want to wait until the end of the season, to make sure everything is correct, to concentrate on this season. I've really enjoyed my four years and one way or another I'll see my contract out.""ù As far as I'm concerned, ""There's a contract there for me"" probably just means the board told him that there will be a new contract for him, depending on how we end the season and on the proviso that he allow Steidten to have complete control over transfers in future."

Re: Moyes Out
"No manager would turn down a contract extension, Sir Alf. It wouldn't make any sense if he's been offered one and he's having a think about it. Being a football manager is the only job in the world where you get paid more the worse you are at it. He gets his contract paid up if he's sacked so why would he delay on signing a new one?"
Re: Moyes Out
"Out of interest, does anyone think it true, absurd and bordering on the ridiculous to allegedly be leaving it up to Moyes to decide whether he wants to sign an extension? It cannot be true can it? Don't think I've ever heard of such a situation when a club is in ""nose dive"" form especially, And anyone with eyes at the club must have seen the league form last season although equally whoever prepare a contract in Dec, if true, must the dense in the extreme. So I assume its all propaganda to allow Moyes to leave amicably etc? That's why the upcoming fixtures may actually be a good thing since Liverpool, City and Chelsea wont take prisoners and Luton will fight to the end. It might take a sorry final 4 games to ensure he is shown the door."

Re: Moyes Out
"North Bank¬†wrote... ""twoleftfeet to be fair Glasner won the Europa League and got Frankfurt to the last 16 of the CL for the first time in their history"" And this starting out in management... LASK earned promotion to the first division in Glasners¬†second season, then finished the¬†2017""ì18 Austrian Football Bundesliga¬†season in fourth position, earning a place in the¬†2018""ì19 Europa League third qualifying round. It was club's first European campaign since¬†2000.[6]¬†In the¬†2018""ì19 season, LASK finished in second place, just behind perennial champions Red Bull Salzburg, which allowed them to participate in the¬†UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.[6]¬†Following his success with LASK,¬†J√∂rg Schmadtke¬†hired Glasner to manage¬†VfL Wolfsburg And In his¬†first season¬†with Wolfsburg, the club managed to qualify for the¬†Europa League, finishing seventh in the¬†league. Glasner also guided them to the¬†Europa League round of 16 phase, where they lost 5""ì1 on aggregate against¬†Shakhtar Donetsk. In the¬†2020""ì21 Bundesliga, Wolfsburg finished fourth, qualifying for the¬†UEFA Champions League. In May 2021,¬†Eintracht Frankfurt¬†announced that Glasner had signed as head coach on a three-year deal until 30 June 2024.[2]¬†The start at Frankfurt was challenging. Frankfurt appointed Axel Hellmann as the new chairman of the board,¬†Markus Kr√∂sche¬†succeeded¬†Fredi Bobic¬†as managing director for sport,¬†Ben Manga¬†replaced Bruno H√ºbner as sporting director and the team lost its top scorer,¬†Andr√© Silva, to¬†RB Leipzig Their continental campaign was successful, they advanced to the¬†Europa League¬†final, for the second time in the club's history (after¬†1980) ""ì defeating¬†Barcelona¬†and¬†West Ham United¬†en route[10][11]¬†""ì and won the match 5""ì4 on¬†penalties¬†against Scottish club¬†Rangers. Frankfurt stayed undefeated for 13 UEL games, and qualified for the Champions League for the first time since¬†1960 The following season, Glasner led Frankfurt to finish second in the¬†Champions League group stage¬†against¬†Tottenham,¬†Sporting¬†and¬†Marseille, but lost in the¬†round of 16¬†against dominating later Italian champions¬†Napoli.[13]¬†Though they were fourth at the halfway point, Frankfurt only¬†finished seventh, winning two of their last three matches to secure qualification for the¬†Europa Conference League.[13]¬†They also reached the¬†DFB-Pokal final¬†against RB Leipzig, but lost 2""ì0. But apart from all that, what the fuck else has he really done? Also got his Teams to play attractive Football. Yeah but apart from all of that, what else? Beat Liverpool at Anfield before tearing us a new arsehole yesterday. Yeah, but apart from all of that what else has he ever fucking done?? Alas, another decent Coach we could have gone for chalked off the list through dithering - See also Emery, Howe."

"I would say one of those wins the big factor was Cresswell getting sent off, but it could also be argued he'd done his homework and got his team to target Cresswell.....is that too dramatic?"

"Beating the same Club only a couple of seasons ago to win a proper prestigious meaningful European Trophy, that Glasner you mean?"
