Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Looks like Trump is kicking the tires of going after the Iranian regime for going after the freedom fighters.
I wonder why the media are asleep on what’s going on over there. It should be all over the news.
Odd. One would think the media is pro oppression, by their lack of coverage/interest.
A clear example of the importance of X.

Re X & Grok
Social media platforms are publishers
If defamatory or abusive items appear on there (ie mocked up pictures without consent) surely the publisher can be sued just as a newspaper or magazine would be
Don’t need to ban them just see Elon Musk in court
£1m fine for each of a million offences

To my dog, I am stupid. Why have the food in a bag? Why have it in the cupboard? Why measure it out? Why put it in a bowl? Why put it in that corner? Why so slow all the time? All you need to do is throw it on the floor and I’ll eat it.
Currently we are all like my dog, wondering why all the time, and thinking the reasoning must be because the people in command are stupid. What we lack is understand the framing, and context, and plan.
Some people believe Trump is stupid – so there is no plan. Some people think Trump is evil, so his plan is to rule the world. Some people see Trump as greedy, so his plan is to line the pockets of him and his friends. Whatever your feeling towards Trump, you will use it to grow a ‘reason’ that fits your world view. All the reasoning depends on your starting opinion. All the evidence you look for is to confirm your motivated reasons – to prove yourself right. It’s circular – like cargo cultists.
We know almost nothing, and much less than we think, and it’s probably us who don’t have the smarts to understand what’s going on from where we sit. We’re the dog watching the food get prepared.”
nice words but he is, in fact, stupid

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Although Trump is (clearly) showing signs of early stage dementia, at least he's ditched all that pussyfooting "international diplomacy" and setting out his stall on the following premise:
Start with that assumption, however unpalatable any that conclusions that flow from it may be, there's a possible chance to work out a way to manage this change on the global stage.
- Increasing his own wealth,
- Increasing the wealth of his friends and families,
- Increasing the wealth of those who vote(d) for him,
- Increasing the wealth of other natural born Americans,
- Increasing the wealth of naturalised Americans,
- Keeping everyone else in the US contented (but not necessarily more wealthy).
Start with that assumption, however unpalatable any that conclusions that flow from it may be, there's a possible chance to work out a way to manage this change on the global stage.
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I think it’s quite obvious Trump doesn’t care for the European Globalists. Let’s be honest they’ve never cared for him or the USA much either, so no love lost there.
Trump will pull out of NATO and the UN. He will secure the western hemisphere and with the control of Venezuelan oil will bring about major issues for Cuba who depend on it, again no love lost there.
Greenland will be interesting, I think the USA will take over but I think the US will make the Danes an offer they can’t refuse. I very much doubt they will use military force. Maybe economic. A big carrot not a big stick will be seen to be the way forward.
Iran is having issues with lower oil prices and Russia will face the same economic pressure over time.
The Demicratic run Minnesota is a massive shit show. It’s being exposed that the Dems in charge knew the fraud was happening but allowed it as they wanted the immigrant vote and some were getting kick backs and campaign donations. This is money that was suppose to provide Medicaid to kids. The filthy cunts.
It’s all coming out, you can expect to a some prominent Dems in cuffs. Just a matter of time.
Can’t wait to see Ilhan Omar in cuffs on CNN. Fucking filth!

The left prefer all their rapists to be located in the UK at the time of the offence but with no UK ancestral heritage.

If Trump invades Danish controlled Greenland the UK should close the US Embassy in London and deport all Americans

Like joyo. You mean Oxbore as I've made clear on here I'm transphobic and agree there are 3 genders...male,female and mental illness
No surprises you once again have again brought up a sexual angle to the debate...wrong un
So you deny supporting trannies but ignore the fiddling with kids bit, interesting.

He has given the green light to Russia and China to be bullies as well
If he takes Greenland thats the end of NATO
l have no problem him taking MADuro and bombing drug cartels, but Greenland is not a dictatorship or mafia run country
Basically you saying he wouldn't blink is admitting hes a dictator
Not quite. He wouldn't blink because he doesn't care about Europeans, not that he doesn't care about democracy. He doesn't care about NATO. Greenland is more important to him. If taking Greenland upsets the Europeans he will just shrug and say, "what yer going to do about it?". There is nothing Europe can do. It's too weak.
This is the thing. You watch politicians standing up in parliament yesterday asking Yvette Cooper questions after her statement to the house about Venezuala, and they are all asking her to stand-up for the "rules based order" and "international law". She can't stand for it. How can she? If people ignore it, what can she (Britain) do? How can we enforce it? They just ignore us. It's over now. Might is power. International law was a post-war idea that has expired.
So when working out what a state can or can't do, forget international law and forget what is right or wrong. It's about what that state is able to do and what is in its interests. That is all.
Russia and China having been acting like this for years already.
