"I could use crayons? Every year there are teams that overachieve, underachieve and do roughly what is expected. We had two years slightly over achieving. This gets discussed a lot. Our average in the prem is around 11th. Our wages is around 8th. Regarding expensive players with high wages. We need to have a system that can cope with the expectations and tensions such wages cause. This often causes problems in clubs that have it."

"For all the Brightons and the Brentfords you can also have The Leicesters, the Southamptons, the Leeds' and the Evertons. Our expensive squad remains expensive next year and the year after. We have to learn to use and manage highly paid international footballers. Something Brighton and Brentford dont have to worry about yet."

"It doesn't matter who got those players in the fact is they were bought from and can play a decent standard of football. Moyes cannot get them into a system that allows this therefore judgement has to be left until we can get a manager in who can apply a plan b or even an improved plan a from sitting behind the ball meaning all forwards look isolated""¶and defenders/midfielders are asked to play chase shadows for 80% of the game""¶. ""¶.this has to go""¶.which means""¶."

I reckon those supporting Moyes have reasons for doing so. Same as those that want Moyes gone which I am one of. The downside of my wanting him gone are two fold. It's possible Moyes didn't have his choices because Sullivan made sure he got his when spending £200m. Sullivan gets to appoint his choice of DOF and a replacement for Moyes if he did go. Can't we have a Sullivan out thread first?

"I'm quite sure that in the final should Moyes: parks the bus, goes 1 down , makes his first sub on 75mins (full back on for a full back). Lose the game 1 0. All these reborn jock hoop lickers will suddenly change their mind again"

"""some can't wait til we loose the final so they can get on and say I told you so."" lose, not loose, you thick cսnt. I keep hearing this warped narrative from moyes fundamentalists. given we've lost half our league games (19) and been abysmal most weeks, you'd think they'd keep their traps shut but no, they double down in their backing of the most dull, dour, anti football manager in the history of the sport üòÇ"

"He should be the best manager since 1980. He has the most expensively assembled squad in our history. Brighton, Brentford, villa, Fulham etc etc do not have better squads than us. They have coached and set up better."

"Reads - some can't wait til we loose the final so they can get on and say I told you so. Basic run of the mill season with the league but hey we older fans are use to it. Two good season before now a final to look forward to , decent ground and I'm not force to eat shit food around it before the game. Best manager since 1980."

I would bet my house that the next manager is shitter than Moyes. Mostly because he has outperformed West Ham's mean standard.

Two You uneducated moron. Only 3 teams can be relegated thus 1 of those teams was correct in sacking their manager. Get it ? I guess you've changed your mind again on getting rid off Moyes. Oh dear!!

"Everything Sullivan does seems is reactive, short term, ""shoot from the hip""ù style. He has no strategy, vision or plan which is why we will continue to waste money and generally underachieve. The epitome of inefficiency. Moyes will be retained because Sullivan has no idea what ""good""ù is or how to go about what he's trying to achieve which is supposedly have us in and around top 8 and European football every year. We might get a third year via the Europa / winning this conference cup but who has any confidence it's going to be part of a sustained next level improvement. No one I would imagine. In some senses any manager is on a hiding to nothing with our owner who wears a Russian military uniform and has a catalog ordered wife . The uniform is appropriate though as he's about as effective and insightful as a Russian military leader :-)"

"stewie griffin 5:47 Wed May 24 Yeah, that cringe fawning over our best (only?) Proper performance of the season, against a soon to be relegated side, with the 2nd most negative manager in the league, after needing to go a goal down to get a reaction, was fucking hilarious to be honest. As you say, we had some proper possession for the first time this season, and suddenly Paqueta looks like a £100mil player. Yet, some if the clowns who support us want to keep a manager who will have us play with a maximum of 35% possession in most of our games next season? We get a proper manager in, we can make a real go of it. We keep this charlatan, and next year will be more of the same, without a run in a Mickey mouse cup, and a load of apologies in here from the thick cunts."

Mental that his future rests on the result of one game. If it's true it just shows the levels of stupidity within the club.

"Steinbergs piece today on probability of Moyes staying is demoralising . Mention of Palahina and Harvey Barnes as targets . Two fine players , but won't come cheap and would cost the majority of transfer fee from Rice . Barnes an upgrade on Benrahma and Cornet . Palahina a direct replacement for Rice . Great , but does that mean Soucek is again first choice next season and what about up front - Scamacca will almost certainly leave and that leaves Antonio as first choice or we have to again look for another striker that will take 6 months to bed in . Maddening ."

"This idea that Moyes should be retained if he wins on June 7 or sacked if he doesnt is one of the more childish bits of reasoning I have heard. Like everyone I am delighted we are in the final having taken the competition at the right level of seriousness to get past a group of teams that varied from League 1 level to maybe mid table Championship at best. To land in a game against a decent Italian team with probably a 50/50 chance. None of that should detract from the fact that our league form , squad use and general management has been poor to abysmal for 18 months. Not 18 games but 18 months. Change is needed ahead of what will be a season where we (hopefully) will be playing Europa League and trying to replace the player who carries our team."
