Having watched the YouTube clips of Sugawara I would say whilst he he is quick and attacks well his defensive qualities might be suspect in the Prem as he goes to ground a lot when tackling. Also lacks height. Wing back yes fullback?

He's athletic and plays more in a wing back role. He's very similar to Coufal when he first arrived at West Ham. Does plenty of attacking.
