The trouble is, the Ferguson era spoiled them and now they think they can get that season after season but the facts are, they are no fucking better than we are and we're fucking shit.

I'll never forgive them for letting them N17 cunts win that.

CUNTS!

I dont think Zirkzee, Hojland, Dorgu, Yoro, Mazraoui are bad players. But they are players that should be going to teams in the middle 3rd of the PL. They are not top players and MU are no longer a top club.

They've built a decent mid table side who are struggling with injuries and confidence.
The expectations off the pitch are of a CL side, but they just aren't. On the pitch they try to play like a CL side but don't have the players and end up paying the price.

Ironically, now is the time they could do with Moyes as their manager.

Yeah, it's really similar to us.

Another thing that's, somehow, worse there is their ownership situation.

They have a tougher summer than us coming up. If they are in as much financial trouble as suggested they will have to sell half their squad- at least the ones they CAN sell. They’ll take a hammering on a load of the shit ten hag overpaid on and to compensate they’ll have to get rid of their actual talent. If they sell Fernandes they are proper fucked.
Amorim is definitely paying some of the price for the bald ones follies but he’s not been able to get a tune out of them at all. It’s remarkably similar to our situation.

Amorin is under massive pressure now. CL entry would have been huge for them and a possible game changer, now they looked fucked. The only thing that might save him is changing managers (again) very likely won't make any difference.

"If the board and the fans want me out I will go tomorrow, without any conversation about compensation" is (roughly) what Amorim said after the defeat.

I have a lot of respect for that and a shame more managers don't share his sense of pride/ethics.  I find it ridiculous that if we want rid of Potter we have to give him x million despite him performing poorly at his job.  Why do football clubs agree to such things?

The man is an absolute pillock, who is also obsessed with Sullivan. Got a feeling he secretly admires him though, as he achieved so much more in business than Oxsaw did.

What worries me now is what kind of players Potter is going to be able to lure here in the next few months
That's a good point actually. Even if we had shit loads of money to spend, which we don't, who the fuck is going to be chomping at the bit to play for him after his recent awful audition and his well publicised Chelsea failure?
Yea, nobody will sign for us because the manager failed at Chelsea. You desperate fucking cսnt. Why do you feel the need to post 10x a day that you don't like him? Sick of you spamming this board up with your repetitive, look at me drivel. As said, you would have been hounded off of here years back with all your attention seeking and repetitiveness.

Our spending will have nothing to do with spurs or Manchester United. They are completely out of our league financially.

PSR will dictate what we spend. Flogging Kudus, Aguerd and Alvarez will help.

Player recruitment is going to be an issue with Potter in charge for the reasons mentioned already IMO, i just hope we don't go all in for someone like KDB (fantastic player or WAS) on silly wages with the club bigging them up as a "marquee signing" even though they are well past it and injury prone, but lets face it we do have from for this kind of signing, just hope he fucks off to Saudi so Sullivan can't try and lure him.

Hopefully we can target and attract up and coming talent from championship clubs or even Div 1 rather than cast offs from bigger PL sides or Johnny foreigner on an earner, fully expecting us to be linked with a whole host of them from clubs in Europe and players most of us will have never of heard of or seen play🤷‍♂️

Its going to be long shit summer for us long suffering fans and as much as i look forward to August and the new season im not sure we will see much improvement with PE teacher Mr Potter in charge, but the 3 new boys should make going down difficult, but don't put anything past our lot to find a way🤣

Would love to be wrong BTW and top 8 here we come but think that will remain in the fantasy part of my head!!!!

Post Any Old Iron »

After nearly six months of Potter I’ve seen nothing whatsoever to be optimistic about. The teams performances and results are no better than Lopetegui, in fact they’re worse; and the Spaniard was fired for getting a higher points average.
OK, Potter has inherited a squad, but if he was a decent coach he’d have at least improved the performances of the team. But he hasn’t.
He doesn’t come across as a particularly inspirational manager and his tactics seem to be very confused. The fact he keeps playing one of the most negative midfield players I’ve ever seen and then subs him early on in games seems to show just how confused he is.
To be honest I have no idea what a Potter team would look like unless it’s one without strikers and a very uninspiring midfield.
What worries me now is what kind of players Potter is going to be able to lure here in the next few months. If I was a promising young player I’m not sure that Potter would be the bloke I’d be convinced to join up with. Frankly I think after such a terrible season our summer recruitment will be bang average.
We’re in a downward spiral and Potter isn’t the man to change the trajectory, so if Sullivan is sticking with him I can only see one outcome, and it’s grim.
