More pointless football from FIFA which finishes within a month of the next Premier League season starting
On something called DAZN if you are interested… supposedly free if you register but presumably will be hounded for a paid subscription
No network was interested in taking this … so in a clear field DAZN offered $1bn (ONE BILLION DOLLARS)
In an unrelated transaction the Saudi investment fund then took a 10% interest in DAZN for $1bn.
Shortly after FIFA awarded Saudi Arabia the 2034 World Cup

Maybe this could be a scouting opportunity to bring players in?

I had no particular thoughts or feelings about this tournament, it was that irrelevant, before that slap head Infantino piped up comparing it to the actual World Cup.
It pretty much embodies everything I hate about football. I hope it fails miserably, and by the looks of the crowd last night, it is. I hope the viewing figures for it are shit also.

The Chelsea game last night was a real barnstormer.

From what I have seen it all looks a bit low key, pre-season friendly type fare.

Feels all a bit Super Leaguey through the back door. A load of money grabbing wank and I hope the likes of Chelsea get caught out with burning their players out.

Angry Ginge could put a tackle in. Big lump, e.g, and free. Sullivan will be licking his lips.

The women's tournament will be better than this lopsided club world cup , what a sham.

Didn’t see it but in that Soccer Aid I was reading that Bonucci showed some equal opportunity football by absolutely crunching Steph Houghton with a proper Italian tackle
I wanted the highlights and can confirm he put in a mans tackle.
A fat bloke with tits (not trans tits, but man tits) scored the winner.
I’ve not idea who most of the celebrities were, but it’s a bit of fun.

I noticed that Felipe Anderson was playing for Palmeiras. He got booked and hauled off in the second half. It would be useful if a Brazilian team went far in this - it would give them money to offer a decent wedge for Paqueta instead of pleading poverty and trying to get him on loan on the cheap

Club World Cup prize money per round
Group stage win: £1.4million
Group stage draw: £739,000
Round of 16: £5.5million
Quarter-final: £9.6million
Semi-final: £15.5million
Final: £22.1million
Winners: £29.5million
If we assume that Chelsea and Manchester City fall into the latter category, they could leave the USA with over £114million – roughly the equivalent to one Florian Wirtz.
Thanks. I assume Sullivan tried to enter us but his low-ball got knocked straight back.

So, if one of the top clubs' star players gets a career threatening injury through a clumsy but perfectly legal challenge by a player who's day job is a postman, that's a price worth paying for the sake of this additional, closed-season competition, is it?
Will it be a case of "Oh, well, shit happens," from the suits, augmented by "He's just a kid who can juggle a ball a bit. No problem, the world's rammed with that type of brat. They'll soon get a replacement .".

Was reading that the Auckland team are part timers & some of their squad couldn’t get time off work
They qualified by winning the ‘Oceania Champions League’ which given Australia have moved to Asia presumably means they beat Vanuatu Rovers & Fiji Wanderers after getting past a flock of Antarctic penguins on penalties
