FIFA Club World Cup
More pointless football from FIFA which finishes within a month of the next Premier League season starting
On something called DAZN if you are interested… supposedly free if you register but presumably will be hounded for a paid subscription
No network was interested in taking this … so in a clear field DAZN offered $1bn (ONE BILLION DOLLARS)
In an unrelated transaction the Saudi investment fund then took a 10% interest in DAZN for $1bn.
Shortly after FIFA awarded Saudi Arabia the 2034 World Cup

Re: FIFA Club World Cup
If I recall correctly we nearly had (or where offered) Palmer as part of the Paqueta bid from Man City.
Typical West Ham luck
Mind you we did have Moyes at the time so he would have maybe passed on him
Has become a great talent but agree with comments on him being a bit of a drip, based on his interviews I have seen, right boring and unenthusiastic type but on the pitch, will maybe be one of Englands best hopes at the WC.

Re: FIFA Club World Cup
Pep letting Palmer go & keeping Grealish was a catastrophic mistake
Only problem for Palmer is that he has played up til yesterday and goes into the season in a month
Will be shot by the time the World Cup arrives

Yeah it's a mistake from Pep by the looks of it- there's a rarity- but i do admire the way he was honest with Palmer and said to him 'You're not going to get a lot of time- do you want to go?' That's really admirable not to hold a kid's career back selfishly, even if it's backfired a bit this time.

Yes but what a generational talent he is. Was gutted he went to Chelsea as I thought they got a good one but even I didn't expect him to go in to another stratosphere of playing. He is ridiculously good.
absolutely love watching him play (reminds me of Brooking the way he shields the ball), Pep must be slitting his wrist at letting him go so cheaply.

I'm not denying he's a good footballer! Thankfully he is, as I can't imagine he'd have the brain capacity to do anything else.

Re: FIFA Club World Cup
You seriously think that we/the club would get to see any of such prize money?
The poison dwarf would use it to pay down all current debts then instantly start re-leveraging against future earnings, in the same breath.

Only bit I saw was Trump joining the trophy lift
Cant be much of a trophy … John Terry didn’t even bother turning up in his kit

The only decent bit was Trumpy trying to get in on lifting the trophy - surprised the trophy wasn't a head cast of him.

Quite a lot of matches out there, in blistering heat and with a fair bit of air travel. They'll probably hit the ground running and get off to a great start but it has to take its toll around Christmas time, and that's when you get fixture congestion so expect (and hope for) a raft of injuries taking them into a terrible second half of the season.

Re: FIFA Club World Cup
Sounds like it was a decent game and a good performance from Chelsea. Like most on here I don't like he idea of this competition so I didn't watch it, but thinking about it, if this had been a televised friendly match with the promise of both teams using their best players and going for the win, I'd have almost certainly tuned in.

Re: FIFA Club World Cup
Couldn't give a fuck about a joke competition designed only to keep the extremely wealthy even more extremely wealthy whilst also rinsing fans for as much as they possibly can worldwide. I find it very fitting that the 2 Clubs battling it out in the Final have helped distort the game beyond recognition with their financial wealth and power.

Re: FIFA Club World Cup
Literally everything about that game perfectly sums up what’s wrong with football, and it’s only going to get worse
