Had New Order's Your Silent Face on full blast in my ears on my walk this morning - I'd forgotten how wonderful the synths were on that - beautiful Currently listening to a collection of Pete Wylie / Wah tracks. Everyone knows Story of the Blues but some of his other stuff is magnificent. Heart as Big as Liverpool is a great track.

"On REM. I loved some of their stuff but was never a huge fan. However, I rather fell in love with Monster. It didn't seem to be loved by anyone else because it wasn't Automatic for the People Part 2, but I thought it was fantastic. Loads of great songs but I Don't Sleep, I Dream is one of my favourites of all time. They were fucking shite after that album though, sadly. Best REM songs apart from the aforementioned...
