fraser 7:09 Sat Apr 29 The other last 16 teams combined spent more than us. (Maybe they meant teams that started in the competition I guess) Nice spent 84 million Euros and the Italy clubs almost 40 each . The same sources have us spend 194 mill Euros. A group of other clubs around 10 mill Euros take into the 200s with total for the last 16 around 220.

"I think the quality of Rice in our midfield has been the difference between us and the championship - even more so playing alongside the painfully tired and out of form Soucek every single game. Now, imagine Rice goes and Moyes stays, and Moyes is given the spend form he sale of Rice. The Stoke-ification of West Ham will be all but complete with relegation to follow swiftly on. Moyes wont listen to anyone and will stubborn no matter what course our season takes. He has to go."

"Classes. Agreed. They've turned the G-Tech stadium into a fortress. Thomas Frank was very calm in the second half, made all five substitutions at different stages, all attack-minded players, initially to try and push for an equaliser and then for the winner. You just have to keep being impressed with what Thomas Frank and his squad have done. There was no pressing of the emergency button, they remained calm and stuck to the plan, and got the result. Oh to have this manager in place for City. Dreaming yep, but if not then for the start of the summer"

I wouldn't give him another 10 minutes. The core of our team which to Moyes is at most 13 will be either injured due to not enough resting time our physically drained to win anything. I think we will go in the semi finals AZ are 4th in the Dutch league

"fraser Yes, I did I heard Andy Brassell say it on the wireless, good bloke Went on to say that the ECL was not designed for clubs like West Ham and referenced who we had beaten The whole discussion was about the French press and particularly L'Equipe who had a headline of 'Come on you Irons!' - the reason fascinating Due to the application of coefficients, France and others could lose a Euro place. Bizarrely, winning the ECL provides the same coefficient points as the CL and with England guaranteed full entrance, us winning saves the others Interesting side point not mentioned was that by extension of logic, the club will gain a huge coefficient lift too, on top of last year's semi, which will be useful should we win it and play EL next season and with the Euro competitions revision, moving forward"

"I said only if we win the ECL (assuming we do stay up) I'd give him the first 10 games next season. Would be quite happy to bin him regardless of whether we win it but can't see that happening if Sullivan is still in charge, so not averse to giving him a chance next season but only if we do win the ECL."

"I'd sack the cսnt tonight, no mistake What could we possibly lose by not having that gurning, vile Scotcher about the place? Fuck all and everything to gain As for Road and his ten game bollox, well I'd expect that from 2 left feet and his attempted 'comedy' postings, but Rd, ffs what a weapons grade pillock"

"First 10 games? Bloody hell you're generous. He could win every game 5-0 and piss the Europa and he still needs binning imo. It's come to the end for him, plenty of good manager about"

"""If we do win it I'd give him the first 10 games of next season"" No fucking way. We need a new manager to make the right signings and a chance to do push in in the right direction next season. 10 games in with us in or around the bottom 3 - why the need to even go there in the first place?"

"If we do win the Europa Conference I would fire Moyes out of a canon on the centre spot, as part of the post match celebrations, then hope he lands in a bigger cannon somewhere near Turkey. I'd then fire him out of that cannon, aiming it at China."

If we don't win the Europa Conference I'd bin him at the end of the season. If we do win it I'd give him the first 10 games of next season and if we're still struggling in the league he has to go.

"I think we need to act now. giving him a chance of winning that cup keeps that millstone round the club's neck and you'd never see the back of him. fuck him off tonight, noble too and his pallyness with certain players. fucking rumours that cresswell may get a new contract only come via him. we need that dwarf fucker to finally do his job as an owner and save us from this negative cսnt"

"It quite hard to fathom how bad we are with the ball. It isn't just this season, it's been like it he's whole tenure. I mean at least be defensively sound if you're gonna be such an anti football side. We can't even keep clean sheets that often and for a David Moyes side that's a worry. 2 goal recently we've conceded from passing out, both times Aguerd involved but it shows it isn't coached. It's just done off the cuff with no idea of the patter of play we want to do. Can't wait for him to go, 180m spent to basically have 20% of the ball a week is utter tosh."

"its time to act this summer. We might win in Europe. We'll probably stay up. Indeed it would be one of the most successful seasons in living memory if both of those things happen, but it will be in spite of and not because of David Moyes and the gap between vey good season on paper and disastrous is tiny. Watching us play this style of football has been hard. Many might think success in Europe gives Moyes more credit in the bank and we will owe him a debt of gratitude and an extension of his stay here, when in fact all it does is further ingrain this insipid style of football into the fabric of the squad. It happened at clubs like Stoke and eventually it gets you relegated. We have to bite the bullet whatever happens, but I think we all know how this story will end, at least for now."
