Re: Moyes Out
"Looks like tonight will be Lampard's last game, in his presser when he come back he was convinced he would be there until at least the end of the season, lol. He can't be happy. Then you have Spurs fans gutted that Poch is going to Chelsea. All good this."

"Agree with that Russ, and I think that's quite reasonable for a club that expects to get 60,000+ crowds. I can't think of any other club in our league that has that sort pull that wouldn't expect even demand more from their club, they may even look down at both the cups and see them as surplus....."

", 12:08 Wed Apr 26 For me our next step up would be to stabilise as a top eight club that challenges to qualify for Europa League or Champions League on a consistent basis and that challenges genuinely for both of the domestic cups."

"Maybe he means the level you'd expect when you're one the world's biggest spending clubs, at one of the biggest stadiums."

Moyes Out
"I don't see Yarmouth's post as OTT or spiteful. I think its direct and to the point but it is fundamentally the truth. I am not sure if Downes' comments were as impactful as he believes but there has definitely been a change in playing style since that game. So there may be some truth in it? But, regardless, as I said on this post previously, for me, a strong end to this season doesn't make up for 16 months of garbage and negativity from Moyes. My genuine feeling is that we won't step up to the next level until Moyes and Sulli are both gone."

Re: Moyes Out
Still Moyes out... ...But with an open top bus ride (trophy aloft)and our best wishes.
Re: Moyes Out
Yarmouth Moyes has gone to most youth games when he can and several u23 games lately. Beggars belief then that he can't see a different way to play with skillfull players playing in the right position with energy and drive. Goals galore. No need for a players revolution there. Hard work and belief.
Re: Moyes Out
"OneAll 12:10 Wed Apr 26 I see in that list of your West Ham manager win % you somehow neglected to include Pardew and Billy Bonds, both of whom have over 40%. OK, those two managed some of their games in the 2nd tier, but then most of the European games Moyes won were vs teams below even 2nd tier standard. If you look at league games alone then Moyes win % is down to 37%. If you look at his league games during lockdown compared to prior and after that it looks very different: During lockdown: 47% Before and after: 33%"
Re: Moyes Out
"Yarmouth's post is MASSIVELY overplaying the importance of what Downes said. He was asked about how Gent played and said that when they got the ball they kept it, while by comparison when we got it we didn't know what to do with it. He wasn't making any kind of deliberate criticism of our general play under Moyes and it certainly wasn't a ""direct attack"" on him. Apart from the few obsessives on fan sites no-one really gives a toss what players say in media interviews anyway, and there's no way a manager is going to change his whole style of play based on one line from a fringe player about the first leg of a particular game which we didn't lose in any case."

Re: Moyes Out
"True, but he's asked a few times recently if Moyes has been in attendance at certain games, fucking laughable and frankly just creepy. Yarmouth's perceived hatred is off the scales, does he even go to games? You would think that Moyes has taken us down to League 1, such is the vitriol from him. Well OTT."

"Yarmouth - You're an absolute cretin, why don't you just fuck off? And what's with your weird obsession forever asking if Moyes is at the youth match. You ain't judge and jury, fella."

Re: Moyes Out
"Does anybody know if he went to the youth team final tonight to watch the players he'll want to integrate into the club going forward.. We got a great draw against Arsenal after a typically disastrous start, stuffed a 2nd Div side from Belgium after nearly losing in the 1st leg and then stuffed Bournemouth. And we did it with a class & a flair we haven't seen for months & months. Other than that this season has been absolute fucking crap in the league and we've won using our 2nd team against the pub teams in the ECL. Rah fucking rah. Do we honestly think Moyes had a brain transplant after 15mins against the Arsenal & decided to play flowing, pressing attacking football for the rest of that match instead of the utter shite we've watched all season? Then carried it on for the next two games? Did he fuck. The players have turned against him and decided to play the way they know how to. Did Paqueta suddenly wake up against Arsenal & realise he's a Brazilian International & then get magically fit to play full tilt for 90 mins whereas every match before he was blowing out of his arse chasing shadows? How did that happen? Did Moyes suddenly decide to get the entire team to support the lone striker by playing 30yds further up the park when he hadn't come close to doing it all season? Did he fuck. So what changed? What changed was Downes making the statement live on TV after the ECL 1st leg when he actually said - 'When we get the ball we don't know what to do with it'. A devastating comment for any manager to hear. How can the players not know what to do with it Dave? Aren't they being coached correctly? What made Downes say it? Frustration in not getting enough game time because of fucking Soucek, and because him & the rest of the team want to play the ball forward but Moyes wouldn't let them & somebody finally spoke out. But Moyes is no fool. Stubborn yes, but no fool. He's been around too long to get exposed like that & then change nothing. So he was forced to listen to the players & change. Prior to Downes's comment Moyes could play the dire, negative, gutless, backward shit every game because there was no challenge to it. Even the media pundits were backing his shite. He was fireproof. But Downes called him out - I think 100% deliberately and Moyes had to act or finally be seen to be the stubborn bastard he was massively rumoured to be. Rice had called him out against Spurs away but was more subtle with it. Moyes could let that one go. But he couldn't do that with the Downes direct attack on him. So, in my view, this current upsurge in form is a direct consequence of Downes's comment that evening. Moyes has been forced to take the shackles off & the class in our team, that we as fans always knew was there, is now being allowed to be shown. Downes will be further ostracised now as Moyes snubs him more & more for speaking out & making him look the stubborn arsehole he is. But the result should be our team can flourish now. And that is why I want Moyes out. Tomorrow would do, but the quicker the better. Then bring in a manager who will coach and allow our talent to show what it can do. Because thats what the lads are doing on the pitch right now - despite Moyes. Fuck him. He's been ruining our club for long enough now."

Re: Moyes Out
"Perhaps as u say Willtell, Sully had little to do with transfers? I simply don't know but the disjointed mess, procrastination, long protracted deal completions and 8 players in that he has hardly started? Moyes seemed to go on holiday at the end of last season complaining of burnout after a long season and the disappointment of the semifinal loss etc he ( Moyes) certainly was half asleep at the wheel for the start of this season. We were bringing most players in after tge season started and he had no plans in place so why did he seem to pick players unsuited to his attrition based, counter attack football? I get the impression he thought we could just start keeping the ball and playing thru the press etc just by buying players who were better technically ? He certainly didn't understand tge value of pace and movement Just looks like the obvious answer""¶ he had no clue or experience how to play any other way and how to change tactics and develop / drill the players. If he did he would not have gone to the WC, would have realised he needed to get started asap on changing what we did and have a plan. He just turned up and carried on from tge failing last season But one thing is certain. The club will never truly progress ( which means permanent improvement in league position and cup success of any kind ) until Sullivan is out of the picture. He may not pick the players but he severely limits who we can get and the speed we get them at In short, we continue to be a very poorly run football club"
Re: Moyes Out
"Well I despise the bloke with a vengeance and have wanted shot since the closure of the 21/22 winter window I see nothing that suggests the upturn in form has anything to do with Moyes and everything with the players just cracking on and doing it their way, having spoken with Noble - Plenty of evidence too that they were hacked off with him Nope, I'm not having the bloke and would sack him as soon as we are safe and let another take the later ECL stages"
