"I have real mixed feeling about whether he should stay or go. One thing I do know, is that Everton have not been the same since he left. Look at how many managers they've had, and the instability at the club. I think I would prefer to wait until Sullivan has gone before changing managers again, I think we could attract a more suitable manager with him gone."

"Even at his best Moyes always struggled against the top sides, but this season he seems to have taken it a step further. Aside from the mighty Fulham the highest position side that we've beaten this season has been Bournemouth, who were 12th at the time. These are our wins so far this season: Aston Villa (A) - 13th Wolves (H) - 17th Fulham (H) - 8th Bournemouth (H) - 12th Everton (H) - 19th Notts Forest (H) - 13th Southampton (H) - 20th Fulham (A) - 10th Bournemouth (A) - 14th Obviously if you're in a relegation battle, being able to win the 6 pointers is great, but for those people thinking he deserves a chance to carry on next season, what are you expecting to change? Half the games will be written off before they've started, leaving us at best with mid table mediocrity, all the while having to endure extremely dull football except in the easiest games where the opposition pose little threat."

"twoleftfeet 2:49 Mon Apr 24 Re: Moyes Out Oh so when you want him gone that's okay, but when someone else points out some facts they're being negative? One good week doesn't undo the 20 odd weeks of shit leading up to it. You trying to point score on other posters is a bit ridiculous."

"Perspective and balance""¶ probably in order. Good mini revival in results and playing to our strengths. Bournemouth and Gent had to bring the game to us which has helped and we punished them. We defended well against Fulham and rode our luck but again the strengths of Moyes teams in organisation, playing deep and narrow and countering have seen us get a good set of results. The emergence of Paqueta or his improvement is making a difference and we are doing things quicker and let's hope it continues. Rice also back to his best, Bowen looking a handful and Zouma showing why our losing percentages go right down when he plays. But longer term, he same issues remain. Dangerously low possession percentages. Better teams over a number of games will usually take advantage so the Moyes / Nevin model, for me, is still limited on what it will achieve especially in the league. We still have ( again imo ) players misused out of position like Fornals out wide. And while Soucek was effective yesterday, he and others like Cresswell cannot be relied upon over a number of games so Moyes will have to eventually replace them but will likely leave it too late or after another bad run. But no complaints at this moment in time as I thought, unlike many, we were going down such was our poor form and showings up to March. His last month has brought relief and Moyes has dug out of a hole he arguably created. But I think most of us know we need something different longer term as his tactics and approach still have obvious limitations."

"All we can do now is wait 6 weeks or so to find out, as at this point we don't know what is going to happen. The question does he stay if we win the ECL is a tricky one, not convinced it's going to be as black and white as that."

Goose. I absolutely wanted him gone after the Brighton match but he has proven me wrong and I am happy to say that. Moyes and Sullivan didn't panic. Unlike you and many others though I just got on with supporting the side and not wishing we would lose games in the hope he would go.

Spot on Nagel. Much that I want the Irons to win every game it's far too early to start thinking that all is suddenly rosy.

"Seems to be the usual thing going on of people looking at our form without taking into context who we've actually been playing against. One defeat in 10 looks great, but look at the teams we've played: AEK Larnaca x2 Gent x2 Fulham Bournemouth Aston Villa Southampton Newcastle Arsenal The European games should always have been walkovers. Fulham, Bournemouth & Villa we'd already beaten earlier in the season. Southampton are bottom of the league. We got stuffed at home by Newcastle. The only really good result was at home vs Arsenal, and Southampton managed the same thing away the following week and nearly beat them. If we get results against Liverpool, Man City & Man Utd in the coming fortnight then the Moyes In brigade might have something to crow about. That said, we have been playing better in the last 3 games, or at least the 2nd half of the first two of those. Still way too early to think that Moyes has turned a corner though."

Like I have said before and today proved it even more... I think if you want Moyes out that badly you almost want us to fuck up and lose... I had it with Allardyce... I gave up caring in the end what the result was I just wanted him fucked off out of the club... hated what he had turned us into... the ridicule... and for me we could have been relegated to the conference I just wanted that cսnt away from the club.... I am nowhere near that situ' with Moyes... have we been shit for large parts of the season?? Well yeah of course... but... we have lost one game in last ten... yes some of them have been turgid but it seems like we have hit our mojo at the right time... the thing is obviously this is going to counterbalance the Moyes out brigade... if we survive (should d0) and win that European trophy (massive chance) he will not be going anywhere...

"I have been in the moyes out camp since the turn of the year. It's fair to say many other clubs would have pulled the trigger on him months ago (and rightly so) but here we are having supposedly turned a corner and putting in some great performances. Better still we may win a European trophy. 6th 7th Possibly 13th and a trophy Dosent sound so bad for last 3 seasons in retrospect does it ? I think he will have earned the right to stay if he does pull that off, but it should not cover for the fact that at times the football has been insipid and start next season that way with shit football and a losing streak we should act."

"I'd like a reporter to ask Moyes, point blank, on live TV - 'what's changed then Davie? It's the same players yet now they're actually playing football, why is that?' and see him try to lie his way out of it. Does anybody seriously think that at 2 down against the Arsenal Moyesball suddenly changed the tactics of the past year & a half & decided to let the players play the way they know how to? Bollocks did he. The players decided to have a go and Moyes is simply riding along with it now. Yes he picks the team but they will attack teams now despite what Moyes tells them to do because it works. We're a good side now in spite of fucking Moyes, absolutely not because of him. That + they know he's leaving so they don't give a fuck about his bullshit any longer. C'mon you Irons & fuck off Moyes."
