"Maybe it's management/HR that has the (institutionalised) racism issue and they're trying to dilute/disperse it across the whole workforce in the hope that they can carry on as before without drawing any attention to themselves. It always seemed to me that down at ""the coal face"" where actual company wealth is generated, people just accepted each other as part of the team and got on with their job - sure there was always one or two at that level with racist views but the workers tended to ""self-police"" the issue and most such disruptors would choose to leave when they realised what nonsense they were spouting actually had the opposite effect and drew a team closer together. It was higher up ""the tree"" where more power was concentrated amongst fewer people that seemed to create (race based) unrest where previously there was none."
